Indeed.

And see, a handkerchief in his pocket.
And four buttons on the sleeves of his suit.
It's all in the details...

Compare that to the bland looking man standing next to Joachim. :ermm: And he even has his suit unbuttoned. It's barbarism!

Lol
Quite shocking indeed!

The link doesn't work for me in the above, but I do like the pink tie and shirt combo of Prince Joachim. Very sharp!

This is an excellent example that a gentleman can wear a pink dress shirt and a pink tie!:wave:

its a great combo especially with the grey suit.
Now with Joachim, who has also worn some bright pink pants,

lets just hope he doesn't wear all 3 in one outing

Harry on day 1 of his Caribbean tour, disappointing us all with his old trusty blue suit:sad:; the pants look way too big

I agree about Harry! Very boring!!

Joachim i love it! Modern!!

When you think the world is going awry and male (royal) fashion is getting too outrageous, it's comforting that we can always rely on Prince Daniel.
Here nothing dramatic happens. Nothing at all!

No matter the occasion we can always predict what he is wearing. A darkish suits, with no stripes or anything flashy like that.
A totally forgettable shirt.
A bland tie and on festive occasions the tie may have dots - but not too colorful!
The same hairstyle. The hairstyle he was born with and will eventually be buried with.
The same glasses.

If I were Swedish I would be bursting with pride (I wouldn't say it though, that would showing off and that's un-Swedish). Daniel couldn't possibly dress more neutral and un-offensive.
If people have a better recollection of the wall-paper than what Daniel wore, it means he has dressed perfectly.

Please don't think I'm putting down Daniel or the Swedes. On the contrary, Daniel is the Swedish ideal-man. In a fashion-context he is the Swedish sensei. You can't reach a higher level.
Just as Haakon is the arch-typical Norwegian man. Happy and oblivious.

A pity the Finns and Icelanders don't have royal families. Men in these countries also have a very distinct way of dressing... :p;)

- Waiting to see if anyone is picking up the gauntlet...

:previous: I completely agree that Royals should be wearing bespoke trousers if there is any issue with RTW fit. Or if bespoke trousers become worn.

I don't want Harry to dress like Prince Daniel, (who I'm sure is a very nice man) and have clothes that are totally forgettable, but I don't want him to look like a tramp either, even on a casual engagement. When Harry goes on tour representing his grandmother, I expect him to have bought some new clothes, both suits and casual wear, just as a female Royal would. Wearing very old clothing, even to look at birds and gut fish, just isn't good enough, IMHO.

Thanks, Polyesco. :flowers:

I actually tried writing something about Harry on this trip, but I couldn't stay awake...
So while Harry did very well during his trip, has attire gets two :sleeping: from me.

Frederik, being older, looked more youthful with his colorful and funny tie.

Haakon has some polished shoes, Woohoo! Very snazzy! Haakon is a handsome man and looks lovely when smartly dressed.

As for Harry, big whine on the subject of his Caribbean tour coming! On the 2012 tour (Jamaica, Belize etc) somebody persuaded him to buy two suits, one stone coloured, one a light tan shade. They were of lightweight linen. Never been seen again! Did Harry shove them in the back of his wardrobe and forget to pack them or something, because they would have been ideal.

Apart from the descriptions of Richard Palmer talking on his Twitter of the sweat rolling copiously off Harry due to his clothing, the boredom of the one blue suit, same light blue tie, white shirt was excruciating. What happened to the cute novelty ties, (sheep, rabbits) Harry used to have? And to be honest, burgundy coloured pants, a navy blue shirt and khaki boots is a very odd combination. Not to mention the old grey pants worn on some casual engagements.

I like Harry but sartorial-wise this tour was the worst. The man just seems to have become sloppy and given up. I'm hoping that his girlfriend will give his wardrobe a thorough going over in the next few months and that some items end up in the garbage, where they belong! End of rant! Sorry!

Perhaps Kate did not get around to going shopping for Harry and kitting him out before this trip.

:previous: And I've just booked an appointment with a crisis-psychologist...

Well, good on Prince Albert! I'm all for men having fun with their ties. Goodness knows most of the time the poor things are stuck in the straitjacket of suit, shirt and trousers, dark jackets, dark socks. About the only time they can break out is with t-shirts, undies and ties. And this tie has a suitable children's theme, lovely teddy bears.

for the royal men, its not everyday that the formal gala attire changes. But thanks to the BRF we got this wonderful photo of the three royal men in a different gala attire. Trousers at the knees, with a garter at the knee. Dont know why but I like this look, they look dashing, everything except the "ballerina" shoes ;)

And in case people were wondering;), Frederik can still rock his naval uniform. Looking quite handsome yesterday in this lovely uniform, with a black cap

lovely and festive suit for the occasion, and a stylish scarf to keep warm. Other his best accessories will always be his 4 cute kids ;)

Great picture. It just lacks the red trousers on Frederik, then all men would have worn the same kind. ;)
