Both these outfits are just gorgeous on her. Love the scarf on the bag really lifts the outfit. Also agree love the hair down and curly.

I think the outfit is very classical.

I don´t like this at all, somehow the shoes don´t match with the outfit.
And her hair, it´s quite awful.

Your quite right lady finn. Her hair is almost school girlish. But her clothes my my, Victoria's clothes get older and older as I see her. She need sto smarten up, just because she's getting married doesn't mean she has to tone down her look.

I quite like the blouse under the jacket
The whole outfit is fine, but nothing special. The shoes are ugly, IMO.

Her outfit was appropriate for what she was doing. She was wearing khakis, which is what Jane Goodall wore when she was doing her work. It is a boring look, but it worked for that particular event, IMO.

Completely dull and boring outfit (that's a mud colored plain jacket that's too short, not khakis), creased white pants, ugly sandals, and messy hair barely held together by a cheap butterfly plastic clip - which does NOT count as a hairdo in my book.
As for dressing appropriately for the occasion, there's another lady in the picture who did just that, namely the very well put together Jane Goodall.
Dressing down should have its limits. People connected to an engagement, even if it's in the middle of nowhere, do expect a Royal to show up, and IMO there should at least be some reference to being royal in the way this Royal looks. There's none whatsoever here.

Bags that big are known as USK's! Or, to the uninitiated . . . . Urban Suvival Kits. I think Victoria must not have had an Aide or LIW and so, instead of giving those dinky little clutchbags she usually carries regular feeding from the USK carried by a lower escelon flunky, has been reduced to carrying the kit herself.
Not a good look! She looks like she's packed for the weekend!

And not to mention uncomfortable to walk in the pebbly/stoney ground. However, I do like the brown jacket.

I like the outfit fir the ocassion but I cannot stand those clip things people wear in their hair and this is no exception even though I think these days Victoria can do no wrong they are lazy and only for facials at home or after a shower so I don't know what to say.

The dress is nice, but the hairdo (or the lack of it) ruins all.

That first outfit looks like an air stewardess. The bottom picture of the memorial concert looks better. Much improved.

I don't like the 1st outfit. It looks very unflattering on her. Her hair doesn't look good, either.

Totally agree lumutqueen - the first thing I thought when I saw the picture with the jacket was that it looked like a flight attendants outfit - the dress looked much nicer without it

Yes, please...peanuts for me! I agree with everyone about the white shirt, scarf and ponytail. I do like the purple dress that she wore in the last photo. It looked very nice and less uniform-ish.

I think this is one of the best looks Victoria has looked in a while. The dress is alovely shade and flattering. The jacket breaks the blue down abit but maybe if she had worn it open. The scarf is a nice touch or the outfit would be very blue and very boring. Her shades are pretty cool. What ruins it for me is th eblack shoes.

May 9, 2009 - Victoria in a black dress, white jacket and a brown belt.
Each piece alone looks lovely. The outfit is ruined by the brown belt IMO though the belt is very pretty with the ruffled edges.
