It's from Mette-Marit and Haakon's arrival today in Thailand for the King of Thailand's 60th anniversary celebrations.

Her last hat looks really beautiful! http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2...ial_33_UKP.jpg :)
IMO such "broadly" Hats look much better on her then those small and narrowly ones!
They aren't flattering at all!

This is my thought after looking at several of MM's threads here in the Royal House of Fashion: she is a gorgeous woman, a true example of the stereotypical Scandinavian beauty, but she just does not photograph that well.
When the photos are good, she's stunning, but so often, they are awkward, bug-eyed, have an odd head tilt, or something. Don't get me wrong, I really think she's lovely- I mean, if you watch some of the videos of her, she is always pretty and fresh. And she's especially lovely when looking smiling at Haakon or watching her three children- she has so much love for them.

I really like her hair. It seems to look the best when she goes with the "less is more" philosophy. But I actually think that about her whole style. I don't have anything against curling ones hair but the pic with the looser curls on MM I just don't like as much as I like the straighter styles.

Also I've looked at many pics of MM and her hair color hasn't seemed to change at least I haven't noticed it changing. So is it thought that her hair color is natural or does she dye it to be that blonde?

Mette Marit has some great styles, very unique and always different when pulled up. I wish she could do something for the daytime, maybe curly ends or half pulled back would also be nice or even wear a hair band time to time

She's a natural blonde (what I could call a dirty blonde, I'm not sure what it would be referred to elsewhere in the world), but she does dye her hair. There are pictures of her where her roots are showing big time.
August of 2006 - (photocredit: Getty Images). I also don't like how blonde she is in that particular picture.

I loved her hair the shade of blond she had around the time of the Fred and Felipe's weddings in May of 2004 (photocredit: Getty Images). I also like the way the ends are flipped.

I particularly like that picture of her with her hair down and one strand back with a black clip. Very different and elegant without any fuss. I wish we'd see some more of that these days. MM seems to have "lost her groove".

So do I, tlg00. The color looks fantastic on Mette Marit and the lowlights really compliment her skin tone.

Perhaps one day she will return to a darker blonde instead of the white blonde color she has worn for the past two years.

I agree! I think shoulder length hair looks great on her. I especially like pics 4 and 6 from post 1. Although her hair is curled in pic 6, which is a contradiction from my post yesterday. I changed my mind after looking at that pic again it does look really nice.

The August of 2006 pic...Yep she definitely dyes it! I think she was pregnant though and probably couldn't dye her hair until after a certain point in her pregnancy.

The May of 2004 pic...goes along with one of my previous posts, her hair looks wonderful when it's shoulder length and somewhat simple.

Thanks so much!

I think Mette-Marit looks better with the darker blonde hair. The white-blond just doesn't do anything for her. I think she could probably even pull off a light brown, too. Nothing too dark though, she's pretty pale.

As for hairstyle, she looks best when it's either really complicated or really simple. I loved her hair at Fred and Mary's wedding and I liked it at Ari and Martha-Louise's wedding.
