Love the white dress. Very summery and the color is very flattering for MM. She looks fantastic!

MM looks great in white! She looks amazing!

I like the dress but I was hoping for something a bit more glamourous. Her hair do was lovely. Her hair looks like it has grown a bit.

DoM,
I have to agree with your comment about HRH Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway. Even with a tiara and a gorgeous dress, her obviously self-bleached hair is so out of style and would even be tacky at a non-royal wedding.

I realize that HRH Crown Princess Mette-Marit has past she would rather forget. Kudos to HRH for turning her life around. But her general overall appearance at the royal wedding in Monaco yesterday is simply not one befitting of a HRH Crown Princess of Norway. In one pic taken in Monaco yesterday, her thin, bleached, needs-a-haircut hair requires the assistance of licensed professional cosmetologist. The services provided in any $12/haircut-and blow-dry salon could only enable a vast improvement in her looks.
I cannot extract the 'pretty' and 'too cute' appearance that many within this forum seem to see in her. She is pretty in her own way, but she is no great natural beauty, but she does give an impression of a very friendly, open and warm personality.

The dress is boring and does nothing for her. The hair is rather bad.

I think she is a beautiful woman, but she could really need some help with choosing her outfits and hairdo.

Agreed. Dress is boring, hair a bit too flat and the tiara slightly too far back on her head. What is that fabric? Looks like something Sonia would wear in bright yellow with her signiture off-the-shoulder ruffled front.
As for the hair colour, NotHRH...as blondes get older, it gets harder to maintain the pigment in naturally blonde (turning white) hair.

She is a naturally very pretty woman, but she has "problem zones" like everyone. And this weekend, she didn't look her best. Doesn't she have a stylist? The dress is just wrong for her body type and the hair situation is just like NotHRH wrote. Overall MM looks like she was dragged out of bed and up there. It couldn't be such a suprise that she had to go to this wedding.

So, you all feel that people in the public eye have to be 100 % okay whether they're feeling great or awful?

Don't like her hair.
Dress is oke but not fantastic.

The last sentence also applies to brunettes. The internet article I read this past week stated that gray hair is the most prevalent hair color in the world. HRH should just accept her natural hair color. A youthful look is not eternal (a la Princesse Caroline de Hanovre et Princesse Stephanie de Monaco- the aging process 'is' and continues perpetually. Efforts taken to look younger actually negate the intended effect.

NotHRH - I agree with your comments regarding grey hair. IMO it is a good job that it's the most prevalent colour. Some of us would dearly like to have hair like Mette-Marit's, or would like it to happen n o w instead of several years later.

Dislike the dress- too pale of a color.

Don't like the dress. It does nothing for her color or figure.

Her pin with the red ribbon is in an unfortunate place.
Who's that handome fella she's with?

^^ Blujean that handsome fellow is Prince Alois of Leichtenstein I believe.
Apparently the couples were all switched up for the event as far as being escorted in.

This time,Mette Marit is a disapointment for me.She has has usually accustomed us to much better. Her choices were good but the pale colors did nothing for her.
Another negative point is her strange posture.

Thanks for the answer. He is a handsome mam. Kinda weird the way they switch partners. Must be a Euroopean thing.

I don't like the "white" or bleached shade of hair color she uses. Maybe a tad darker blonde would look more natural.
