Okay, sometimes accessories or details are not that perfect, but IMO she´s much better dressed than a Prcss Maxima, who´s often much too much over the top.
Royalty shouldn´t think too much about clothes or how to look "glamourous". They should never look like Hollywood stars; their target should be quite other issues!
Well, if they're royals, Hollywood stars or simply commoners - some people are gifted with a natural elegance or glamour, others aren't. And the fashion threads would be empty if we wouldn't be interested in royals and their fashion and wouldn't like it to see a Crown Princess dressing nice to represent her country. I think, there's nothing wrong with that.

Sorry to disagree, but when speaking about Royal Fashion, there is plenty "bad about MMs dresses". I give you:

Exhibit A

Exhibit B

Just to name a few.....a princess should look Royal, and not "reluctant" or resistant to do so, IMHO.

I have to agree. In these photos she looks confident and happy, whereas sometimes she looks timid and unsure of herself.

Is it grey or dark green? It looks like a dark green/grey in the last picture, also looks like a tweed suit.
It looks very pretty. I do like it.

I like both outfits, but they are begging for some colour.

Very nice & elegant suit. Although it are dark colours again it works quite well, I do like the stockings in this case also. Btw, very nice portrait of her in pic 4, she looks lovely here.

Oh, this coat looks terribly ill-fitting and because of that unflattering around the waist. Pity because I like the golden buttons.
The shoes are out of place here IMO and the skirt is unflattering.
Hair, earrings and make up are very nice, though! And the bag is great.

So many dark (albeit lovely) suits for Mette-Marit. I will say one thing though the dark suits really offset her platinum blonde hair nicely.

Her make-up and hair look lovely at her latest event, a vast improvement IMO. Pity about the continual dark/black outfits for most of her events.

Love this suit on her. I can even overlook the fact that it is dark colored because the cut is so good on her. Her makeup and hair are lovely as well.

Cool

Mette-Marit looks very classic in this suit and the pants and coat. I know I've complained in the past about her wearing black a lot, but it may be a favorite color and she feels the most comfortable in that color. I was cleaning my closets out today and came to realize that I have mostly blue in my closet! It's my favorite color and I know I look good in blue so HRH may feel the same in black, besides with black, a lot of colored accessories and shoes can be used.
It has been mentioned before that HRH may opt for her conservative outfits and colors to balance the fact of her "wild" background" before her marriage and doesn't want to risk her image now with more "daring" outfits. Who knows? If she's comfortable with her clothes that's okay with me.
All the princesses we've seen have had fashion faux pas from time to time.

That's true Katrianna, she may just like dark colors better. I think she has looked really nice and professional lately.

Many times the simple but elegant, self-selection of the successful suit. And a separate line has its own style. Successful in finding a suitable one yourself beautiful princess.

Some better pictures of her latest outfits from Svensk Dam:

Grey Suit
Side View

Blue Coat

Black jacket, blue skirt

I really like her hair lately. It's so shiny and the length suits her.

The darker colours definitely suit her more. It brings out the beautiful blonde and is flattering for her figure. She looks tall and willowy and stunning like a model. It's amazing how the different colour and cut transformed her look from a few days ago when she wore lighter colours. Good for her!

This suit is very elegant and suits her a lot
I also love the black shoes and even the black stockings don´t look so bad with this outfit
I´m just a bit tired of seeing her in such dark colours...
