We have all seen before that MM can do the "every-inch-a-Princess-look", both in daytime wear and gala outfits. Unfortunately she does not have a certain level of quality she sticks to, often it's either fantastic or dreadful. I wish she would find a better balance in her outfits.

Well its still dark, but not black, and it is accessorised very well.... so points to MM!
EDIT: I have decided that if she had worn neutral tights that it would probably be a very good outfit in my books.

I completely agree with you regarding the tights. Otherwise, she looks exactly how I imagine a crown princess should look at official events. The hat and coat are flawless.

Icky! The shape of the jacket is way too boxy. It makes her look very wide. Not an attractive look for her.

Not liking the black outfit, and all of these opaque hose is not good. Someone needs to raid her closet and replace all of them with sheer hose. Please, please, please.

I love the coat but to me the hat is spring/summer.
The dark color wouldn't be so bad if she'd wear natural colored hose, the opaque hosiery bugs me.
Her little sapphire/diamond flower earrings and brooch are cute.

Mette-Marit arriving in Kiev during a special visit for UNIAIDS.
She was dressed in black, but somehow I quite like her look.
The coat is lovely. I like that fur collar.
The ponytail is a nice change.
