It's wonderful to see Masako at the reception again! And she's returned in style. A beautiful and elegant gown.

She looks really wonderful in both sets of photos-always great to see her smiling. The white gown itself is kind of underwhelming but she looks great.:flowers:

I love this color on Masako, and she looks happy and engaged! I will admit that I miss the hat a little bit--I loved that entire ensemble when she wore it in 2017. However, she still has the brooch, so I'm happy ?

Wow, what a difference a hat makes!

Dear Masako looks so much softer without the hat. so much softer! good for her....waiting to see the butterfly

Masako looks lovely, and very appropriate for the ceremony. I'm not a huge fan of the bumper hats, but those seem to be the go-to look for many of her events. My one small quibble is that I wish she would ease off the eyebrow powder a little bit; it's a harsh look, especially since the current fashion in Asian countries is for a softer, lighter eyebrow.

And yes, such complex expressions on both Naruhito's and Masako's faces.

I'm glad it's a dress she hasn't repeated as much.

Looks like it's the lace dress she wore at the Tonga coronation in 2015:

I believe you are correct. When you zoom in on the details of the fabric of the Tonga dress, it is very clear that they are one and the same, although I'm not sure if there has been additional ornamentation added to the bodice. Can you tell, Prisma?

I knew this dress looked familiar, but I wasn't able to match it in my searches. Thank you for doing the leg work!
