I like the coat, but (IMO) coats look best when they are longer than the dress underneath. The colors of the dress are very nice, but I don't think that this dress is very flattering on Mary. She is a very slender person, and the dress makes her look bigger than she is. I'm also not a fan of the camisole worn under the dress. It looks like it is the same exact fabric as that of the stockings. I did like the scarf that she wore with the coat in the first photo.

Lovely coat ( as always) but that dress does make her proportions look odd. And i don't like the colours either.

I did not like to see the dress longer than the coat!

I donīt like this dress. The coat is beautiful, but I donīt like it with the dress. I also prefer coats longer than dresses, and itīs a "very elegant coat" with a "very casual dress". I donīt like the ensemble

It was in September 2006 for a Charity Performance at the Circus.

Do you think it's just a diabolic coincidence that Mary wore this dress at the Circus and at Beauty and the Beast?

God,she looks h u g e in that coat.Perhaps, she borrowed it from Flip the Giant? I didn't expect that from Mary...Anyway,I loved the top and trousers, she was so elegant. And I agree curly hair doesn't look that good on her.

Coat - disaster; pants and top - very nice, so elegant. Curly hair makes CP Mary older.
Whole look OK (except this big coat).

That coat looks like something Robbie Coltrane would wear when he's playing Hagrid in the Harry Potter films.

Having seen closer images of what i had initially thought was the neckline of the top and now seeing it was infact some sort of necklace i dont really like this outfit on Mary it is all bit much

I think there's something wrong with the coat picture. Maybe the aspect ratio is out. They both look weirdly proportioned.
Here's a better picture

I didn't understand that this was a necklace.I thought it was part of that beautiful top, that it was embroidered or something.I agree it's "too much":I would say "super-big" and "super-scary"
