One thing about Mary, she likes to play and change things up so is rarely boring. You either love it or hate it.

According to Rikke Gudnitz, the designer of Marie's gown, Mary's is by Soren Le Schmidt

I love the color of the gown and the styling. Beautiful

But there is something about the top area which just seems off to me. It looks fake, like seat cushions, awkward. Not the best fitting boudice/neckline.

Mary always looks stunning at the New Year courts and this year was no exception. Rocking the red!

When Mary brings it, you better hire a semi! Seriously, the redo of the tiara is very good. And that dress! The upper perfectly shows off her incredible shoulder structure. It's amazing and wonderful that she knows to show it off. The collar is perfection!

Personally, I love it that the upper dress is structured and the bottom is fluid. Because the opposite would be a disaster, but also because she looks a true CP. And that she and the Queen are in rich Red and Green delights me.

Agree, at some pictures it looks fine but on others it is clearly off. It seems it depends a lot on how she has her arms slightly up is fine, down her body isn't a good look (as far as I can tell from the few pictures and screenshots I've seen).

I agree, I really disliked it in the first screenshot I posted but the HQ pictures are better. I still don’t like the top part though, it doesn’t suit her.

First time I see Mary in wrong dress at this event. Sad.

P.S. I hope to see this dress without all regalia.

The red gown is amazing. So regal and majestic. One of her best gowns ever.

Love it also, Mary looks so beautiful. Both the red and green colours so lovely, perfect for the event.

The gown is pretty, but the top does not flatter her at all.

Gorgeous colour on Mary however the top part of the gown looks out of place ,the jewels and hair are perfect as normal.
