March 28, 2008. Mary in a recycled coat, in brown very flattering pants & a printed brown top. Lovely outfit

The shoes are really very cute with their little bows, and I love the fastening on the belt of the coat.

The most recent pics of Mary here.
I like the coat much more than the first time she wore it, with the hat and pearls.

That's a lovely coat. Reminds me of a Chanel which could be. The outfit looked nice, though the sweater tie im not too fond of.

It is a lovely coat, but she looks wonderful with colour, I almost wish this outfit had a bit more (but the hat provided it the first time and I didnt like it overly much then so you just cant win with me!).

Mary's evening wear

Where can I find a picture of Mary in he strapless brown evening dress? Is there a link somewhere? I've been out of the country and missed a lot (believe I was staying in the same upscale safari camp in Tanzania as the honeymoon site).

take a look on Mary's eveningwear thread, there are photos there. :)

Nice, fashionable, yet professional outfit.
HATE the shoes, they are probably MIU MIU or PRADA, but i think they look cheap.

Is she wearing the ring from Pss Isabella's christening? I loved that ring and was wondering when she'd wear it again!

It's a different diamond ring. The Isabella christening ring has 3 large diamond stones surrounded by diamond paves:

The one she wore for the Mary Foundation camp is new and looks like there's one large stone in the middle surrounded by diamond paves:

She has worn the christening ring on other occasions too like the couple's visit to Romania in October 2007.

I don't like the outfit at all, she is too young for it!

Well, I am always glad to see Royal women wearing "real" hats. .. not those feather/flower headpieces all the time.

Anyway, I agree with you sofajr. The outfit is also something Queen Margrethe could wear.
The hat is somehow quite boring.
The suit is elegant... but it doesn't impress me. It's okay, IMO.
The color is lovely.

I like the suit, I think that it is very flattering on her, that it is very appropriate for a princess. I am very pleased to see her wearing hats again, I miss the early days when she wore them a lot more.
But I can see what you say when you think that it ages Mary.
This is a full length picture of a previous wearing.

This outfit looks far too matronly on a young woman like Mary. As someone else said, it would still look good on her mother in law.

i like the colour, like bourgandy? it is elegant and simple, i like it , i wouldn't mind to haver it in my closet and use it!

When I saw that bourgundy outfit I knew she had it already before. She looks nice in it. Yep, it makes her older but also very ladish like.:)

I agree Lakshmi, while the suit does make Mary looked older (not that much, maybe another five years IMO) it makes her look very ladylike and professional. And the colour is brilliant against her fair skin :)

Color does suit her in a way though overall I find it dull & also ageing. The suit is perfectly cut & Professional but doesnt suit her. Also, its early spring, I think she should go for more colorful things.

Sometimes a skirt and a jacket is something that a Princess must wear even if that is not to fashion!

the problem is not in fashion, but in the style og the outfit. I'm sure that CP Mary needs wear a fresh colour clothes for young not for grannies

I like the suit. It makes a statement...business. Love the hat with it.

I like (as I think I have already said) the suit. Whilst Mary looks lovely in outfit such as the grey dress she wore late last year (I think it was - she arrived in a black coat) and some of her recent outfits, its nice to see her in the professional/princess look again recently (like the stamp event with Frederik etc).

Mary at State Serum Institute in connection with WHO´s Regional Office for Europe.

I like this outfit, wish I had a better picture of it. Initially it reminded me of this outfit, probably just because of the style and colour.
It looks like its finally getting warmer over there!

Lovely outfit. Nothing special about it at all but its very elegent. I always think that less is better. The jacket is plain but love the cut, ver flattering & looks very elegent with the fitted skirt. I like the colors as well.

I love the whole combination here and have adored the shoes forever. I wish she would grow her hair but that is not for this page. I love the colour of the jacket.

That outfit and the hole look of Mary on April 7th reminded me of her sister Jane at Christians christening.
The first thing I thought was "Oh Mary looks exactly like Jane today"

Yesterday evening I looked through the pictures at DRW, and I found that

Could it be that Mary lent her hat to Jane, because it matched Janes outfit, and Jane has not much
oppurtunities to use hat back home in Australia?

This is my first comments on Crown Princess Mary's outfits. I have to admit that this greyish outfit is amazing. The colour becomes her well. Generally speaking, I like the style and colour palette of Crown Princess Mary's outfits. She definitely knows how to choose clothes that would enhance her look.:flowers:
