White looks nice on Maxima but so does red IMO. The dress looks like a really nice cut (but should wait for more pictures) I quite like the black ribbon on it, it gives it a nice touch which many people would not think would work. Hair looks really nice and glad she used a pro.

Yes that's the other side of Maxima - she has these very low lows (black cape dress, messy hair etc) but at the same time she can pull off very high highs, such as this one - every inch a future Queen. Wow.

It would have been nice to see Maxima's white dress in full, with shoes and all. I don't think I have ever seen the dress before. Has anyone else?

I have been trying to find a full-length photo of the dress, but there doesn't appear to be one. I am really curious about the skirt. I wonder if it was column, or a-line? I am also curious about the black detail at the top of the dress. I would like to know if it was repeated elsewhere on the dress. I imagine that she wore black shoes with this, but I could be wrong.

No rubies, I dont think that Maxima had worn the dress before, not publicly at least so you are not alone in seeing it for the first time!
The way the pictures are taken for galas during state visits (to Holland) it would seem unlikely (as sgl found) to find a full length picture of Maxima.
However when she wore the green dress to a (relatively) recent state visit gala, she rewore it again quite quickly, so we may not have to wait too long, depending on what she has on.

The gown looks pretty. The bag also looks good but I think the shoes don't suit for the gown.

I do think that Maxima is the Cprincess with the most flair, she can really pull it off, even though she has no desire to be perfect all the time on a day to day basis. Are all the gowns she wore to the past 2 state visits new? If yes the Orange's haven't heard of the Global reccesion?!
