Thanks, you're welcome :flowers: I have quite a collection of Letizia photos since the engagement. And I thought of making this thread to remember the days when she wear nice pieces. Because it seems that these days, she only wear matronly dull and boring clothes that lacks color with dark tights :ermm::neutral:

I'll edit this from time to time when I see something as I browse through the photos in my PC.

I agree with you, looking all these photos makes me realize that she was much more in to fashion past years. Unfortunately she wears realy boring clothes these days.:ermm:

I also think that thanks to you this thread is fantastic :flowers:

I think she do a great job recycling her clothes!!Why not???Her clothes are brand new, so she should recycle them, that's imperative IMO and a very positive thing to do, she is not milionaire so she should recycle yes!

Personally I don't think it's bad to recycle clothes but I think she dresses a little bit boring these days. She is a fabulous lady, a crown princess... She has a beautiful figure. She is young. Of course she is not millionaire but there is no doubt that she has great opportunity. I'm absolutely sure that she can do better than these.

I can only agree that back in the old days Letizia looked very pretty with a chic and colourful wardrobe. These days she dresses and looks like a middle aged housewife, trying to blend into the crowd and not stand in the center of attention. This change of style or mind or appearance does not do her any favours.
When Letizia got married for the first year or so, she wore many many beautiful suits. However there was a steady stream of criticism that her wardrobe was "boring" and she dressed like a businesswoman and was not nearly fashionable enough to be a CP.

In the past year or so she has clearly tried to alter this by wearing a wider variety of clothes, some of which have been incredibly fashionable.

Yet the same people who slammed her for her past wardrobe still criticise her clothes, I could be way off the mark with that observation but that is the way it seems to me.

I'll edit and add more later, I've got some more but don't have much time to sort, upload & post now. I hope the mods will not move this to the fashion thread as I really don't go there often and I hope this thread stays here under the Spanish royals. And besides, this is not just about fashion, we'll discuss here about Letizia's recycling frequency, I am just providing the photos ;)

She looks good in brown, but I really love the white coat-dress that she wore on 31st Jan 08. It was so elegant on her, and the color is beautiful.

Letizia at the Inauguration of the International Exhibition " Spain 1808-1814. The Nation in Weapon " Feb 12, 2008.

Arrival she wore a lovely beige coat which I think is a recycled piece. undernethe the coat a lovely fitted jacket with a turtleneck & lovely skirt
pic 1 -- pic 2

Personally, I wouldve prefered the skirt to have had a bubble hem since I think it wouldve looked nicer but either way works just fine.

does that skirt not have a layer of chiffon or some similiar material over it? - maybe not entirely what was needed for a military event during the day also i have noticed that the hemline has risen to above her knee and she is now almost 36 so i think its abit short of an official duty (im not saying she should have it at her ankles but the right length would be just below the knee IMO)

YES that beige coat is recycled from the 18 dec 2007 and 15 jan 2008

Yes the top layer was chiffon, the underneth was just lining.
The skirt was abit too short (above the knee) which personally I dont agree royals should wear. I think they should wear skirt just below the knee. I think the outfit all together was okay for todays event, it was more of an opening of an exhibition than a military event

She is the president of Madrid.
As you say, SRF has not lady-in-waiting.:flowers:

Aaaah I see, thank you for your quick response :flowers:
Than it makes perfect sense for me to see her in a lot of photos.

You're doing a great job nouwrein! :flowers: Thanks for your effort!

I love all her white suits!! :)

She looks so elegant in her white suits.

What a treat to see all of my favorite Letizia outfits. I do miss her satin suits in the pastel colors.

I feel like I have been window shopping, thanks!

I don't think hemlines and skirt lengths should depend on age or status but what looks good on the inividual. With my legs I have to wear my skirts above the knee or to my ankles, there is no in between, anything below the knee looks horrible!

You're all welcome :flowers: I love browsing through the photos in my PC too, that's what I do when I'm bored
