The hair style is so reminiscent of Grace - deliberate?
Grace

^It is. I don't know why are they trying to sell her as a Grace look alike. They should help her to find her own style.

This woman gives me the impression her closet only has summery clothes... Anyway, this LBD was just wrong. It looks quite odd and doesn't flatter her figure at all IMO. The sandals are the opposite of elegance (you name it...).

ANP Beeldbank

Now this outfit is stunning, I adore her hairstyle. But don't think the dress and the hair match.

She's wearing a 50s style cocktail dress, so a typical Grace Kelly hairdo could have been the right idea, but...
...BUT the hairstyle is executed very badly, the dress is more 50s Monroe than 50s Kelly, it comes in a very weird wet-looking fabric, it does not fit well, and it throws the fact that her plastic surgery up front was a bit excessive right in your face:

^^
I totally agree, the LBD on it's own is nice, but it doesn't fit her very well. And the hair

I have no strong objection to Charlene & I think she is a very attractive woman, but I can't quite work out what kind of look she is trying to achieve. She has had a few years to both get used to appearing as Prince Albert's escort & experiment with her style, but I'm finding her style an odd combination of Hollywood glam & paired down blandness!

I'm not sure what's going on with Charlene. Just when I think she looks stunning, she pulls out an inappropriate dress and sandals. I just think it's too revealing. Is she trying to be seen or something?

Totally agree with your observation Boris. Ms Wittstock to me never gets a dress tailored to her figure and she does not know how to accessorize. She does look like Ms Monroe. Charlene looks tacky.:flowers:

I have always said "threadbare " Charlene- she reminds of Vegas. and not Monaco. It has been numerous years and the mistakes continue- Norell said when in doubt wear a skirt and blouse with sleeves and Cw could have worn a chiffon blouse and skirt and how about some earrings of any kind?
This is somewhat 50"s but it does not remind of Ceil Chapman who designed for Monroe. The hairdo with the amateurish dippity do curl is more fourties than fifties.Cw's eyebows need definition and the dress is too short. It looks like a " slip" it needs a jacket or shrug of some kind. I get the feeling that Cw thinks she is "sexy" in these outfits and that is not what is called for at all. I wonder if she will ever wear sleeves ever except on a coat of somekind? THis dress would have looked much better with a chiffon scarf thrown across the neck backwards.
Cw has big feet and from the side the plastic surgery on the chest makes it look like a shelf.........Liz Hurley antithetically looked fab.. .

No speculation about plastic surgery please, that's beyond our knowledge!

Imo she looks like she tries too hard, the dress doesn't fit her in breast area, and the length of the dress is awkward. The hair is awful but better than in the last event.

She looks like a Hollywood c-list, not A-list at all, so she doesn't even get the Hollywood glam well

Considering Charlene has a big age difference with pa that is quite a "sexist" statement.
A woman as a clock?
unacceptable.
I didn't say us women are a clock, I said we are on a clock. You've never heard of the saying, "her biological clock is ticking"? It was meant as a joke. No need to admonish me. :ermm:

I liked the dress she wore at the GP gala. The colour, the model.

Charlene has chosen to look classy and sophisticated at these events. I loved the pink dress and she look beautiful in it.

The pink dress is so beautiful! She was looking very nice in the Gala.

I never stop wondering why she is wearing these kind of dresses, when she has such a big shoulders? There is something about this dress that is odd, the colour is lovely though.

I love the color and cut, but in this dress her shoulders seem to be very wide more than her hips. She should try to find other cut of the gown and she will be look perfect.

She does have big shoulders. She needs to lay off the weight-lifting a bit. Women in general have to be careful when it comes to our shoulders and back. Don't wanna look like a football player. I agree. I love the pink color, but it looks like the dress doesn't want to be on her.

I think Liz looked fab too. Charlene should ask her for advice on what to wear. All of Charlene's dresses almost look too small on her. As if she forced herself into it. Exactly, her feet are big so I don't see why she's constantly wearing sandals. Who wants to look at her feet all the time?

She is trying too hard. Especially now with this Marilyn Monroe look. This look does not look good on her. She's trying to have Albert's moms elegance. She should just relax and be herself. I don't know what kind of stunt she's trying to pull with these hairstyles. I think she needs to find her way because she seems a bit lost.

Not necessarily Boris. She could be wearing a good push-up bra. And now you can even buy dresses with it built in.

The pink dress is elegant. I love its vibrant colour! Awful hair, though. JMO

Finally a gown that is perfect on Charlene. She looks spectacular. This gown even gives her a waist although it does look like she has been slimming down. Her hair is fabulous and chic and she reminds of the model Jean Patchett from the fifties a bit.
The gown is articultated perfectly to her measurements.Fab... very beautiful.......very Parisian..

I see no elegance in this, just "Hollywood". I like her hairdo though.
I think she looks great in this outfit as well.. I luv the straight skirt.................and that Cw is more elegant as time passes.I see Cw developing her own style .. great!

I disagreed politely about the use of the word clock in general.......I have not admonished you at all. as I have not used counsel, caution or reproof just disagreed. I disagreed that we are on a clock and that we are ticking.simply.It was planted as a 'joke"

I agree with your assessment agami.pearl. But I do think Ms Wittstock does look better in this gown because it fits her. I wish she would wear pumps. Sandals emphasis big feet. I read that Jacqueline Kennedy had big feet and she always wore pumps.:flowers:

I think that she looks wonderful!
