New Tongan coronation throne

This is Kingi Tuheitia on the Maori throne which was carved for his Great-Great-Great-Great Grandfather Kingi Tawhiao, the second Maori King.

At Buckingham palace apparently in the throne room the thrones of the queen and prince consort have only been sat on once, for her coronation and the room is only for symbolism since it has other thrones of past British monarchs but nonetheless the throne room is one of the many beautiful rooms at Buckingham palace.

The then-Pope is wearing the Papal Tiara, a sight we may never see again.

Danish Throne

This Throne was used for the corornation and anointing of Danish Kings from 1671-1840. Frederik III had it made in the 1660's and it was supposedly made to resemble the biblical throne of King Solomon. To make the throne even more legendary it was said that parts of it were made from the horn of unicorns. It was however the helical tusks of the narwhale that fed the unicorn story.
