Thanks for posting these- she looks good. I can't really tell but did she dye her hair dark? Or is it lightening?

The Viscount is the spitting image of his father.

Huh? What do you mean?

I guess LOSSEAN refers to the fact that she doesn't have a title of her own and I am not
that strict with titles related by marriage ;)

Yesterday, Lord Linley attended the birthday party of Mark Shand, brother of the Duchess
of Cornwall, at the Quintessentially Offices in London. Camilla's children attended as well.

No, no - Sorry Iceflower. I am just a stickler for using the correct titles, therefore Viscountess Linley instead of Viscountess Serena. When she married Lord Linley, she was the daughter of a Viscount herself so she is a member of the aristocracy as well.

LOSSEAN, I am a stickler for the correct title too. For example it drives me bonkers to hear Kate Middleton called "Duchess Kate" or "Duchess Catherine"...she is the Duchess of Cambridge, or Catherine Duchess of Cambridge!! :bang:

And you are right about the former Serena Stanhope, she is indeed VISCOUNTESS LINLEY since her marriage.

Actually she's only Duchess of Cambridge-not Catherine Duchess of Cambridge, since her title is from marriage it doesn't include her given name- her title won't include her name until she is Queen Catherine

It drives me bonkers when people call her Princess Catherine!!. :bang:
Seriously, she is the Duchess of Cambridge, she's not a princess in her own right!!. I could understand wanting to call her Princess Catherine if William was not created Duke of Cambridge and she would have been known as Princess William - not as big a stretch going from that to Princess Catherine as it is going from DoC to Princess Catherine!.

Lets get back on topic....Viscount and Viscountess Linley and their family...not the Duchess of Cambridge.

Viscountess Linley wore a great flower brooch at William et Kate's wedding.
Is this brooch an heritage from Princess Margaret ?

I never knew that Viscountess Linley was the daughter of a Viscount herself. Learnt something new today. :)

Serena is a very pretty woman and Margarita looks a lot like her. They have been married for a long time, I am glad to see they are still going strong. Charles is going to be very handsome when he is older! I love what Serana is wearing to the Festival of Speed in July.

I believe Serenas father has now succeeded to the family earldom.

Lord and Lady Linley hosted the Linley Christmas Party on November 15, 2011 in London.
Serena looked wonderful in that dress!

She does look lovely!

My first thoughts were....is it time for Christmas parties already? And than, you wouldn't know the season based on what she is wearing! But its a lovely color and she looks fabulous.

Goodness! Lady Sarah looks incredibly young, doesn't she? And Lord Linley looks just like his father.

Do you mean Serena and not Sarah (who is David's sister)?

Yes, he does look like his father. Let's hope his looks and artistic talents are the only thing he picked up from Snowdon. Love his artistic talents and he appears to have great relationships with his children (or at least three of them) but not a great husband.

I love Serena's shorter hair, it really suits her. Margarite looks so much like her mother.

Viscount Linley's perfect weekend:

My perfect weekend: David Linley - Telegraph

I don't know much about this family, so this was interesting to read. I love that some of his favorite objects are things made by his children (and his remark about Margarita's drawing is very sweet and precious).

:previous:
A good read - thanks Daria :flowers:

excerpt:

"My 50th birthday has made me reassess what we’re doing at Linley...our ethos hasn’t changed: I want everything we do to have a sense of humour.
...I’m constantly asking my designers to think about how they can make a product more fun; how they can add more secret drawers to a desk...
"
.

Serena Linley has a four page spread in this weeks ES Magazine.
