"Funny moment yesterday as William watched the new promotional video he stars in for #Shout As he appeared on screen saying a slightly cheesy ‘hello’, he gave an embarrassed groan and put his hand over his face. Kate (I was sitting directly behind them, so could see) cracked up."

Wow, this Instagram post on the Sussex account appears to clarify and expand on the announcement William presented yesterday regarding the launch of Shout. The Sussexes point out their early involvement in meetings last fall supporting the Shout program, which is also described as an "extension of the Heads Together initiative backed by the DDoC and the DDoS." So, IOW, the Shout program is something that the Sussexes were more involved in supporting early on:

More details on the Shout project offered here, along with a very poignant anecdote re a conversation Harry had yesterday at the Hague Invictus celebration with a wounded former soldier. Harry discussed Diana and his new baby son, Archie:

Wonderful to hear about Shout and how it's helped so many already. It's great that the Sussexes and Cambridges have launched the platform as from personal experience, British schools don't take bullying and the mental health effects bullying can have seriously enough - sadly I can imagine Shout will be a busy helpline. It's also great that it's an SMS helpline since for many with anxiety, calling someone can a big task, so SMS accommodates everyone.

Babies eat whenever they are hungry ..most women feed on demand now days. However it is quite possible she is pumping her milk and that they are also using a bottle to feed him when she has to be away

Which event was she at? If you are referring to the SHOUT event, that was back in November. It was an embargoed event that only became public yesterday.

Shout seems like it could be a useful service and I hope it proves effective.
Support from royals, and other well known people, illuminates Shout so the more royals to announce it, the better.

"Last week, @KensingtonRoyal announced our new partnership with @England and campaign #HeadsUp.

So much has happened to get us talking about mental health, but suicide remains the biggest killer of men under 45 and there is more to be done."

It's a brilliant initiative & just what's needed to normalise the conversation around mental health, which many people (especially men) are reluctant to discuss.

Thanks for posting the link to the video.

It's a fantastic initiative. Mental health issues can affect anyone at any time, and the more we destigmatize it and make it possible for people to access help, the better for all of us.

I think so too. Too many times, even if one realizes that they have mental health issues, it feels so unique to them that they cannot fathom that others also can and do go through the same thing. The more there is conversation, the more its going to be to realize that we're never alone when we have issues and there is always someone, somewhere ready, willing and able to be there for support, help us to understand and work to resolve issues and just be there for us.

I'm hoping the day will come when *any* mental health issue, no matter how big or how small, will be realized to be as important to deal with as any physical ailment our bodies may be affected with. Its becoming more and more evident that a healthy body and a healthy mental state work in tandem to let us live life at its best.

BBC ONE has commissioned a landmark film focusing on men’s mental health through the prism of football, with access to the Duke of Cambridge over the course of a year.

'A Royal Road to Wembley: Tackling Mental Health' will cover the 2019/20 FA Cup season as the Duke of Cambridge works in partnership with the FA @FootballAssoc to launch an ambitious new plan to raise awareness of male mental fitness.

As well as following the Duke’s work, the film will tell the stories of men from across the country who have been affected by or are currently experiencing mental health issues.
