The Duke of Kent yesterday also visited Downpatrick PSNI station and officially named the MV Strangford II ferry. And on a visit to Down Cathedral he laid a wreath on the granite stone in the churchyard which marks St Patrick's burial place.

The Duke of Kent, Grand Master, United Grand Lodge of England, this morning, as First Grand Principal, attended a Meeting of the Supreme Grand Chapter at Freemasons' Hall, 60 Great Queen Street, London WC2.

Her Majesty was represented by The Duke of Kent at the Memorial Commemoration for Sir Ewen Fergusson (formerly Her Majesty's Ambassador to the French Republic) which was held at the National Gallery, London WC2, this evening.
