HRH has always been lean but he looks very thin here IMO. Maybe it is just the angle of the shot.

Today, October 24, the Duke of Kent as President of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission visited Eiganes Cemetery in Stavanger, Norway on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Operation Freshman, the planned attack on the Norwegian Heavy Water Plant at Vemork:

Court Circular 25th October:
The Duke of Kent, President, Commonwealth War Graves Commission, this morning visited Vestre Gravlund Cemetery, Sørkedalsveien, Oslo, Norway.

His Royal Highness, President, this afternoon attended a Reception for the Commonwealth War Graves Commission at the British Embassy in Oslo.

The Duke of Kent this evening arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, from Norway.
Mr. Nicholas Marden was in attendance.

His Royal Highness, Grand Master, this afternoon attended the United Grand Lodge of England's Tercentenary Celebration at the Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Gore, London SW7.

The Duke of Kent, Grand Master, United Grand Lodge of England, this evening attended a Tercentenary Dinner, Battersea Evolution, Queenstown Road, London SW8.

Court Circular 8th November:
The Duke of Kent, Grand Master, United Grand Lodge of England, this morning, as First Grand Principal, attended a Meeting of the Supreme Grand Chapter at Freemasons' Hall, 60 Great Queen Street, London WC2.

Her Majesty was represented by The Duke of Kent at the Memorial Commemoration for Sir Ewen Fergusson (formerly Her Majesty's Ambassador to the French Republic) which was held at the National Gallery, London WC2, this evening.

Court Circular 9th November:
The Duke of Kent this morning officially opened Folkestone Museum, the Town Hall, 1-2 Guildhall Street, Folkestone, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Kent (the Viscount De L'Isle).

His Royal Highness this afternoon officially opened the Jaguar Lodge, the Big Cat Sanctuary, Headcorn Road, Smarden, Kent.

The Duke of Kent later presented The Queen's Award for Enterprise: International Trade to Premier Coatings Limited, Marley Farm Industrial Estate, Headcorn Road, Smarden.

Court Circular 11th November:
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were present this evening at the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall. The Duke of Kent was also present.

Court Circular 12th November:
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were present this morning during the Ceremony at the Cenotaph on the occasion of Remembrance Day. Wreaths were also laid by The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge, Prince Henry of Wales, The Duke of York, The Earl of Wessex, The Princess Royal and The Duke of Kent.

When a duty-bound 80-something Royal Duke is still pounding the pavement doing his job, a badly-buttoned smock is charming.

The Duke of Kent this morning officially opened the University Centre Farnborough Building, Farnborough College of Technology, Boundary Road, Farnborough, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire (Mr. Nigel Atkinson).

His Royal Highness later visited Haystack Dryers Limited, Unit 1, Pintail Business Park, 165 Christchurch Road, Ringwood, Hampshire.

The Duke of Kent this afternoon visited Apollo Fire Detectors Limited, 36 Brookside Road, Havant, Hampshire.

I thought the Duchess of Kent’s tribute to Jana Novotna was very touching. It’s unfortunate that we don’t see so much of Her Royal Highness anymore.

His Royal Highness this morning attended a Command Briefing and met soldiers from the Regiment, Ledra Palace, Nicosia.

The Duke of Kent today attended a Regimental Lunch in the Officers' Mess, Ledra Palace.

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited the Green Line.

The Duke of Kent afterwards visited the Mobile Force Reserve in Nicosia.

His Royal Highness later visited Gleneagles Camp and Nicosia International Airport.

The Duke of Kent this evening attended a Regimental Dinner in the Officers' Mess at Ledra Palace.
