I would imagine the Duchess will be present at 3 days of the Davis Cup considering the importance of the final and her role with the LTA and love of tennis. She has been a constant present at previous Davis cup ties. The King and Queen of Belgium are also sitting beside her today. I recall when they came on their introductory visit to Buckingham Palace the Duchess of Gloucester was present for the lunch and introductions

Yes, the Duchess of Gloucester was present at the introductory visit to Buckingham Palace and surprisingly forgot to curtsy to King Philippe, even though she curstsied to Queen Mathilde.

Nice words from the GB team captain Leon Smith in his speech after winning the Davis Cup - he thanks their "staunch supporter" the Duchess of Gloucester for her support and jokingly welcomed her for a drink with them afterwards.
Nice touch to see her recognised she does alot for the LTA and has been present throughout their journey over the last number of years.

FREEZING fog has temporarily grounded a Royal visit to the region.

The Duke of Gloucester was due in County Durham this morning to officially open the new £44m Consett Sports Centre and Consett Academy development.

But the visit by the Queen’s cousin has been put back to this afternoon after adverse weather conditions in London meant his flight was delayed.

The Duke was also due to tour The Witham in Barnard Castle, which has recently undergone a £3.2m restoration.
