I am assuming that the Duke is going solo to the British Virgin Islands on the Diamond Jubilee Tour - though it would be great to see the Duchess accomany him as she such a great asset to the Royal Family

Why would you assume this? Is the Duchess ill?

No i just assumed from any press releases that it was a solo trip for the Duke as there has never been any mention of the Duchess accompanying him on the Jubilee trip. Though if any other members are aware of the Duchess joining her husband it would be great to have clarification on this

Is The Duchess of Gloucester going with Prince Richard? Would be nice if she did. Such a shame this tour will likely receive little media attention, just like The Earl and Countess of Wessex's tour.

Bit of a shame but it would make sense for it to only be Prince Richard, though Sophie went with her husband and both Camilla and Catherine are attending with their other halves, but perhaps The Duchess is busy.

It is only the duke who is visiting the BVI. Perhaps the duchess already had engagements scheduled during this period. It is a short visit afterall.

On March 13, the Duchess of Gloucester paid a visit to Lady Eleanor Holles School to mark its 300 Anniversary.
During the visit, the Duchess unveiled a commemorative stone plaque and met some of the pupils.

The Duchess of Gloucester looks beautiful; pale blue really suits her.

The Duke of Gloucester will visit Malta from 13 to 16 April. The visit, which is part of the Royal tour to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of the Queen, coincides with celebrations taking place to mark the 70th anniversary of the award of the George Cross to Malta by King George VI. This is the duke’s first visit to Malta, although his father, the late Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester, came here in November 1947 and February 1962.

I love the Duchess, she appears to be so lovely. She and Richard have undertaken their duties since marriage so privately and they go so unrecognised and unappreciated. It is a real shame, but I imagine they both prefer it. They could walk down the street and no one would know who they were, which I think they like.

On March 27, 2012, the Duchess of Gloucester, representing the Duke of Gloucester as Deputy
Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Logistic Corps, inspected the 8 Regiment Disbandment Parade at
York Barracks in Münster, Germany. As usual a very elegant appearance!

her suit! So ladylike. Somehow, she reminds me of Helen Mirren(sp) in these photos (although I doubt Ms. Mirren would dress so conservatively).
