I suspect we will see as many or as few pictures of this evening as we usually see of BP banquets. If I recall correctly, the last two state banquets at Windsor were for the Indian and French President's respectively, and a reasonable number of pictures were made available for both.

I'm not sure whether the Duchess attended the inspection of the troops but she certainly welcomed the Amir back at Windsor Castle, as can be seen in this picture.

Many thanks for finding the picture. I was hoping that Camilla was not ill again!

Luckily, she is OK and we will most probably see her at the State Dinner too.
Maybe, just maybe, today will be the début of Teck Crescent Tiara which is supposed to be on loan to Camilla?

Or perhaps we might see some jewels of Kuwaiti origin not seen publicly so far. If I am not mistaken, C&C visited Kuwait in 2006 or 2007.

Would be great indeed. Glad that Cams is in the house ! Tonight could be the first outing of the RVO sash as well.

NOVEMBER 27: Prime Minister Sheik Jaber Mubarak AL-Hamad AL-Sabah of Kuwait, (L) speaks to Prince Charles, Prince of Wales and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall as they view a gold sword that was presented to the Britain's Queen Elizabeth II by Kuwait for her coronation in 1953, inside Windsor Castle during a three-day state visit on November 27, 2012 in Windsor, England. In the afternoon a military parade will be inspected at Royal Military Academy Sandhurst then a banquet is to be held at Windsor Castle in the Amir's honour this evening. The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall visited Kuwait in February of 2007. It's a possibility; we've seen a lot of the Saudi jewels and few (if any) of the Kuwaiti ones. Still, Arab royalties seem to go for gifts of demi-parures, which don't inlcude tiaras so Camilla will most probably wear her Boucheron Honeycomb Tiara.

I actually never heard about Camilla borrowing the Teck Crescent Tiara. The Queen Mother only wore the tiara a few times but stuck to the others she's was more known to wear. Camilla usually wear The Boucheron and Delhi Durbar tiaras.

My guess for Tonight for Camilla is indeed the Honeycomb, paired with a recycled dress (i bet the blue velvet one last worn for the James Bond premiere).

Most of us had never heard of it until "The Queen's Diamonds" by Hugh Roberts made the claim. Since it's a fairly official and well-researched book, I believe it.
I do love the Boucheron Honeycomb Tiara but some variety would be nice so if Camilla wears the Teck Crescent or even the Delhi Durbar, it will be awesome.

I think the Teck Crescent Tiara would look great on both Camilla & Catherine. I guess that will be for them to borrow. I must admit Camilla look better in the large tiara's. She's got the hair for it. I just wonder how comfortable they are for her? The Queen Mother wore them in such a elegant way.

Pictures of the dinner:

- The Queen, Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Prince Charles and Camilla
- The Queen, the Amir and the Duchess of Cornwall sitting at the table
- The Queen, Prince Philip and the Amir posing for official pictures

The Queen is wearing her Girls of Great Britain Tiara, while the Duchess is wearing her Royal Victorian Order sash. I'm not sure she's wearing the Honeycomb Tiara though.
