State Visit from Brazil, March 2006
The President of Brazil and his wife begins a three day visit to United Kingdom, from 7 to 9 of March.

Britain's Queen Elizabeth II arrives with the President of Brazil, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, right, at Buckingham Palace in London, Tuesday, March 7, 2006. Silva received a ceremonial welcome from the queen and her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, at a central London parade ground and inspected an honor guard during a torrential downpour. He and his wife then joined a carriage procession down the wide Mall to Buckingham Palace, he sitting with the queen in an ornate horse-drawn carriage, and his wife in another carriage with the duke

The Queen looks lovely indeed!
Great to see an incoming State Visit from Brazil, I hope the President of Brazil will also come to Sweden one day. I hope we'll see many great pictures from various events during the visit.

Thanks for all the pictures. I really hope we get to see pictures of the Duchess at the banquet tonight. I do not like the british tradition where only the soverign couple and their guests poses for pictures at the banquet, we go to see the PoW and the Duchess at the Norwegian banquet because then the Norwegian Crown Prince couple was there as well but I wonder how it will be this time..... I think they should pose them all up so we got a good look at the minor royals as well.
I wonder where I shall leave my complaint...

For some reason, both the Queen and her daughter-in-law, the Countess of Wessex wore repeat clothes from Christmas at Sandrigham on 2005.
 They are both looks very lovely and suitable in their chosen colour.. :) on christmas 2005...   and from today...   (all photos are from uk press)

I do hope we see HRH Duchess of Cornwall in different jewels tonight ( i would love to see her in the honeycomb tiara and a decent necklace) maybe HM gave her the Family Order as a christmas present?
