Weekly update to 3rd December, 2015

This week there were 128 engagements with Harry starting the week in southern Africa for a few days and others doing the usual types of events in the UK while the Duchess of Gloucester attended a range of events around the final of the Davis Cup – watching the matches and dinners etc.

I will try to get the final missing week up later tonight Sydney time - but I might be busy celebrating. Anyone in NSW may know that today the HSC exam results came out (the equivalent of A-levels in the UK or NEWTS in the Harry Potter universe) and I have students in the top bands in the three subjects I teach for the first time ever - one on 49/50 for History Extension, another on 93/100 in Modern and the first student on 99/100 for Ancient. There are others in Ancient but I have never hit the treble before so I am stoked.

HM The Queen – 384 (365 – up 19 – 10.0%)
HRH The Duke of Edinburgh - 255 (237 – up 18 – 6.7%)
HRH The Prince of Wales – 510 (497 – up 13 – 13.3%)

I do check the missing dates specifically each week to see if any dates have been updated but sadly no - the British monarchy website still has these dates missing their engagements.

For some people, success is measured by the size of their paychecks. For others, it comes in the form of the accolades from their peers. For the truly gifted teacher, it is reflected seeing the students take what is given to them and excel at it.

Big, big CONGRATULATIONS!! Well done!

Weekly update to 10th December, 2015

A much quieter week as to be expected as the year winds up. A note about the number of ‘church services’ and ‘concerts’. Many of the family have attended Christmas Services often as ‘carol services’ or ‘carol concerts’ with a few ‘Service of Nine Lessons and Carols’ which I have included in ‘church services’. If you have never attended such a service you should try to do so as they are very good, especially at night. My local church used to hold one every year but then the minister died and the new minister ‘modernised’ the services and many parishioners left and he disbanded the choir but I have been able to find another church who worships the way I find inspirational.

FAILURE of British Monarchy Website to UPDATE CC

The weekly failure of the British Monarchy website: 4th December, 2015 is missing

Still missing from earlier in the year – 22nd, 23rd, 24th July, 23rd August, 3rd, 6th, 7th, 8th, September and 11th November (Charles and Camilla carried out engagements in Canberra on that day). These are dates on which there were engagements for royals recorded in The Times but not on the website.

Total number of engagements missed on the website to 11th November, 2015 - 80.

I do check the missing dates specifically each week and these dates are still missing.
