I must say that I like the Countess of Wessex's outfit. Her hat is a tad questionable, but I think it is more than appropriate for Ascot and I think she looks chic. I also think the Duchess of Cornwall looks superb.

I must say that Camilla looked absolutely elegant!! She was in my opinion the best dressed royal woman. The color of the suit is lovely and the suit is well tailored and stylish especially the skirt. Not to mention topping it off with that fantastic Philip Treacy hat.
As for Sophie's outfit, I think only the Empress of Japan could wear such a hat and get away with. The outfit simply had too many things going on with it from the jacket (which isn't bad by itself) to the skirt. |

I think the Queen's wearing the same trench she wore a couple of weeks ago during her visit to Canada. |

MIRROR NEWSPAPER
15 June 2005 - COUNTESS LOOKS SATELLITE DISHY - Wessex wows Ascot fans. By Paul Byrne THE Countess of Wessex looked a picture yesterday in an Ascot hat that resembled a satellite dish. Her grey tweed outfit was flecked with black and white and she had a white Yorkshire rose on her hat to mark the meeting's move to York. ![]() It is being held there for the first time in 294 years because of a £185million refurbishment at the Berkshire course. This one seems to have been lost in the mix; I noticed it in one of ~*~Humera's~*~ photos. I have cropped it so it's not really a duplicate pic. Anyway, the lady next to the Duke of York is also wearing an obviously modish and very "now" satellite dish hat. We can only hope this fashion is short-lived.:)
