Thanks for the pictures LaMinka. I love the reception hall in Westminster where the dinner tonight was held. Maybe someone knows the protocol of these banquets. What's the schedule like, how do they decide who gets invited and how do the seating arrangements get decided?

And why aren't all the ladies wearing tiaras?

Thank you all who posted photos. Mette-Marit's wardrobe on this state visit has been classy and elegant. Cherie Blair wore pants when the royals visited because she detests the monarchy. When guests are invited to Balmoral during the Queen's stay in the summer, women are required to wear dresses or skirts. Cherie wears pants which has angered the Queen. According to a book about Cherie, she was once talking about Princess Anne and described as b****, and had some very unflattering comments about the Queen Mother.
