Well, it hasn’t been exactly ‘anon’ for the ancillary ‘comments’, but as I promised, here goes-
Firstly a tale of slight significance- It revolves around your pertinent comments, Dierna, about Paris being not Stadt der Lichter, aber der Liebe!
How lovely, more Heinrich Heine-ish, but with his own form of illumination
To wit: several years ago I landed in CDG,weary from a restless flight, taking a bus to finally alight at the 12th arrondissement (Gare). Whereupon I dutifully trudged towards my hotel (exercise is good for one!) when I was hailed by a Parisian lady in her late forties who offered to escort me to my lodging. But first, we stopped over at her spacious apartment located above the elementary school where she taught. Kindly she made lunch and allowed me to make reservations using her computer. The next evening she took me on a walking tour of Paris, felafel at Marais and Ice cream in the Latin Quarter (yum). Regretfully, I had to leave the next day, driving my hired car south to join with the Tour de France. Still, about a month later I was returning from the UK via the 300 km/h Eurostar when at the bus station I met a 23 year old Parisian girl who had just spent several months as an au pair in Ireland. She apparently took some fancy to me because she too, volunteered to show me Paris... for the entire day. Alack (as the Tudors would say)! My imminent return flight prevented me from taking up her offer. Yes, Paris IS different from other conurbations.

By the way, Lord Freddie was sent by his parents to Paris to polish his French when he was 12.
Here is a hyperlink that shows him younger still and with further royal company.

Thank you for the link.Interesting project,no other couple(royal or noble) tried to involve husband/wife in a film. When was it filmed?
I think it will be released on some of British or American channels, but have no idea when.Maybe lord Freddie should have taken the career of actor from the beginning, from his youth, some talents are covered till a specific moment. But it lasts only 18 minutes if I'm not wrong.

That's a lovely cover, Nonesuch! Does this issue of Town & Country include a photo series or an interview of Sophie?
The picture of the young Lord with his royal companions is also sweet, isn't it?

More via PM.

1st appearance of Prince and Princess Michael with just Lady Frederick Windsor

From the Trooping the Colour… fashion hats and dash of gallimaufry.

Either Sophie Winkleman finished shooting her Titanic role (well, it was decently sized ) in Hungary or she was able to take a short hiatus enabling her to appear NEXT to the new Duchess of Cambridge on the royal balcony.
Her husband, Lord Freddie may be stuck here in L.A. with J.P. Morgan.
A report from gavbark at “Glittering Royal Events” notes that Sophie Winkleman, Lady Frederick was later seen motoring away with Prince Michael and his wife.
Lady Gabriella was not present; perhaps she was concentrating on her examinations in Anthropology at Oxford.

Looking this over brings to mind my having read that Kate Middleton sometimes wears 5-inch heels. L K Bennetts fwiw

This shot is immediately after the Royal Flyby-

The next two pictures show Camilla the Duchess of Cornwall having a jest with Sophie Winkleman.

I to have to interject, the Duchess of Cambridge presents a nice smile, but Lady Frederick Windsor has a certain je ne sais quoi
It will be interesting to see what role Freddie and Sophie will play in Prince William and Kate’s Hollywood visit. I certainly hope it will help expose Lady Frederick Windsor to more of the upper echelon in Hollywood. It can be so alluring and treacherous too.

I doubt they will play any role at all, it's Catherine and Williams visit to LA and to see two very minor royals apart of it would be weird.
Lady Frederick moving up due to her connnections? Haha, original.

I totally agree, despite all it's a very short visit,if it was supposed to be a longer visit it could have been more possible to see them involved,we'll have just to wait for it

If the Windsor are in Los Angeles during the William and Catherine visit, and since its a short business visit, yes they probably won't get together for tea or a meal. But I can see the Windsors being invited to any dinner or event that William and Catherine will attend. Especially the BAFTA LA awards since 1) they are associated/related to William 2) they are British living in in Los Angeles and 2) Sophie is an actress and I would assume a member of BAFTA.

I agree. Why not? Minors or not - they are cousins and from what I've read they were quite close as kids (Lord Freddie apparently looked a bit after William when he came to Eton). Pity that it's just a short business trip, but I can see them meeting at several events for sure and I'd enjoy it.

I loved how Sophie looked at Trooping, btw. Her hat was perfect and though Kate is pretty and nice, Sophie has more of the IT-factor, IMO. But she's a beautiful actress after all - a certain charisma would be expected. I wondered why Lord Frederick was absent as I'm always looking forward to get a glimpse of Gabriella and him on the balcony, but they might have been busy with their lives and other engagements indeed! Now I wonder if Sophie will stay in England for a bit longer and maybe she attends Ascot? I would think that both Sophie and Freddie will be watching Wimbledon this year?

Especially since the Kents and Diana's apartments at Kensington Palace were next door to each other. So before Diana's divorce and when both boys were not at boarding school, its not hard to imagine them hanging out as children.

I am going to check out Sophie's IMDB profile to see what if anything she is working on at the moment. Freddie works in finance in LA right? This years trooping was a bit weird....looked like spouses of the junior royals (not a fan of minor) were there but not the junior royals. At first there were no pics of Davina, Rose, Alexander, etc. but you saw pics of their spouses. Strange. Of course, they were in the background.

Indeed. I remember that in an interview Gabriella told that they and the Wales boys used to play with each other and had a good time back then, so to say.

Thanks, Zonk. I guess she is/was working on the Titanic series as Nonesuch mentioned above. Yes, Freddie works for a bank in LA. I also agree that this years trooping was a bit weird. I still wonder where Lord Linley was. Maybe some of them decided to stay in the background to let Kate shine.

Quote:
Interweaving multi-arc action, mystery and romantic plot lines and featuring fictional and historical characters, Titanic will focus on different characters ranging from steerage passengers to upper class guests. Each point of view will culminate in a cliff hanger as the ship begins to founder, building to an explosive conclusion which draws together each of the stories. Viewers will be taken on a heart wrenching journey through Titanic’s last hours, as the drama reveals which of the characters they have come to know so well will survive… and who does not
The series has been billed as an 'epic television' event and is set to be broadcast around the world at the same time. The series will be broadcast to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic.

An Eruption of pique- oh my or AKA Too busy for Noblesse Oblige?

Well, as best I apprehend, apparently some people operate with a tacit understanding that amongst the younger Royals, Prince William et al lack Noblesse Oblige- that honourable benevolent behaviour taken in its non-ironical sense.
In fact someone seems to revel in her cynicism of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s upcoming Hollywood visit.
Perhaps she’s right, but it seems impolitic to me that Prince William would ignore his childhood playmate and relative Lord Frederick who along with his charismatic wife Sophie have made Hollywood their home since September 2009. During this time they have “flown the flag” at various British business and social gatherings such as the annual “Britweek”festivities held at numerous venues in L.A. such as the British Consul General’s “pile.”
Here is a link to a photo from this year’s event taken about three days before William’s wedding; Freddie must have shortly dashed off to the airport! By the way, the person posing next to him was his former short-term girlfriend, Lady Victoria Hervey, London’s “It girl” (2001) and eldest daughter of the 6th Marquess of Bristol.

http://www.zimbio.com/pictures/5bUjjap6_oy/Champagne+Launch+5th+Annual+BritWeek/uKrPVOXd1pC/Lord+Frederick+Windsor

Here, Lord Frederick is devilishly supportive of British Fashion in California- notice his horns?

I never expected Freddie and Sophie’s role to be large especially due to the time constraints of the Wales’s two and one half days. Someone from the Telegraph opined that one day may be set aside for Yosemite- which would be awesome! The waterfalls haven’t been this large in 25 years! Having hiked all the major trails I can assure you that you would be well drenched before reaching the top ;-)
Whereupon, one just basks in the sun whilst enjoying the magnificent view

So, to Zonk and Dierna23, I say your remarks are spot-on and I’ll depart this post with
a link to a group photo of Prince and Princess Michael, their daughter-in-law and a well known young Duchess.

Nonesuch Darling, wow! Judging by your always courteous posts one would say you tend to speak on behalf of Lord Frederick. Is Winki your wife or someone else's?! Because if I were a man, this is how I would talk about my own wife only. One must be madly in love with that semi-ugly, ungifted, d-class actress to find her charismatic, let alone talk about her non-existent pulchritude in each & every post. Weird, I'd say. Nevertheless, welcome on board and don't take anything personally or too seriously!

Sophie isn't my wife nor do I know her personally, but I find her charismatic as well.
You know that the Kent branch has the certain "it" that the rest of the family may lack, dear.

Thanks to Nonesuch for the links and information once again. I love the horns of the Lord in that picture.
