AFter society bible Tatler labelled her 'The Most Beautiful Member of the Royal Family' last February, there was really only one direction that Lady Amelia Windsor's fashion career could go. Now Lady Amelia- who is daughter of George Windsor, Earl of St Andrews and the granddaughter of the Duke of Kent, The Queen's first cousin- has taken her next foray into the world of modelling as the star of a vibrant short film for footwear designer, Penelope Chilvers.

Filmed in El Rocío- the Andalucian town renowned for its charming wooden houses, dusty streets and annual pilgrimage and feria- the film sees Windsor scuffing through the dust in a casual-cool uniform of jeans and a camisole top before being enticed by the colourful flounces and prints of flamenco dresses.

One thing that puzzles me is that Lady Amelia is not a Roman Catholic and is included in the Line of Succession but her siblings are not. Were Lord Downpatrick and Lady Marina received into the Roman Catholic Church when they were older and Lady Amelia chose not retain her membership of the Anglican Church instead? It seems an odd arrangement if this was the case from birth unless some kind of papal dispensation required it which would be very unlikely these days.

All three siblings was baptized in the Church of England but while her brother and sister decided to become members of the Catholic church like their mother has always been Lady Amelia did not.
 
Thanks! I thought that must have been the case. I wonder if the Duchess of Kent played a role in encouraging them in that decision?

Duchess of Kent has not always been a Catholic. she was CoE at the time of her marriage and became Catholic in 1994

At the time it was very controversial, probably the closest a member of the Royal Family came to making a statement about the Church of England and its policies.

I think you have the Kents mixed up. The Duchess is their grandmother not their mother. Their mother, the Countess of St Andrews, was raised a Catholic and by marrying her the Earl of St Andrews lost his place in the Line of Succession until he was reinstated again in 2013.

It seems we get a news about Edward, Lord Downpatrick and Lady Marina, no sooner than until they get engaged;)
 
I know (from Instagram) that Lord Downpatrick shares a flat with Princess Alexandra’s granddaughter Flora Ogilvy. They seem to be close and take trips together with other friends.
