Specific Charities or Organisations Supported via an Official Engagement to 9th March, 2017

It should be noted that the event/s involving a charity/organization may or may not be carried out by the patron, president etc. It should also be noted that sometimes an event is related to two or more charities or organisations and I have recorded all of them here. Both Camilla and Andrew attended such events during this past week.

I have changed ‘Royal Colonel’ to Honourary Military Appointment because Camilla’s engagement this week wasn’t as a ‘Royal Colonel’ but as an Honourary Appointment so I put them all together rather than split them.

By the way, for unofficial engagements, Princess Eugenie went to a dinner at the United Kingdom Mission to the United Nations (or the Foreign Office, not quite sure) in NY on International Woman's Day. https://twitter.com/UKUN_NewYork/sta...51469599117312
She also visited a domestic violence shelter in New York.

Thanks for those. I will add them to my 'unofficial list' for Eugenie.

After missing two consecutive weeks in February and then updating for half of that time the CC has reverted to its bad old ways - it hasn't updated since the 10th March - so another week with no updates.

The CC this year is appalling but presumably the BRF don't care about the PR of something like this.

Weekly Update to 16th March, 2017

These figures will be still inaccurate as the online CC didn’t update between the 17th – 27th February. Amongst the missing engagements is the reception that most of the royal attended including Eugenie which is why she isn’t yet listed as undertaking an official duty as she hasn’t yet appeared in the CC at all with that engagement missing.

HRH The Duchess of Cambridge – 13 (13 – no change – 2.7%)
HRH Prince Henry of Wales – 21 (15 – up 6 – 4.3%)
HRH The Duke of York – 35 (27 – up 8 – 7.2%)

Types of Engagements to 16th March, 2017

NOTE: If you add up the totals from this section they will invariably be more than the weekly and yearly totals because of the way engagements are described e.g. HM ‘received and invested an individual’ on the 3rd January which is why she has ONE engagement but there are two items listed here. I do NOT count ‘where received by the Lord Lt or someone else when there is more to the engagement unless it is at the start of an official visit overseas e.g. Anne was ‘received by the Deputy Lt of Oxfordshire for her engagement but that was simply a handshake before entering the conference type thing as opposed to a formal start to a tour such as we saw last year when Charles and Camilla visited the Middle East.

Weekly Update to 23rd March, 2017

These figures will be still inaccurate as the online CC didn’t update between the 17th – 27th February. Amongst the missing engagements is the reception that most of the royal attended including Eugenie which is why she isn’t yet listed as undertaking an official duty as she hasn’t yet appeared in the CC at all with that engagement missing. I have read elsewhere that there were 95 engagements on these missing days. That is a lot of missing engagements and then add in the 8th March on which I believe other engagements also took place it is clear that there is around 100 engagements missing from my tally at the moment – who knows they may update one day – but outside my window this is what I can see:

I would like to acknowledge that the CC did update the 8th March – with its 24 engagements during this past week. That will also explain why these figures may look a little strange as I have added them in here. The royals who undertook engagements on the 8th were: Elizabeth, Philip, Charles, Camilla, Edward, Anne, Richard and Birgitte. That means that for these people there are more ‘ups’ this week than were actually undertaken between the 17th and 23rd March as they also include those for the 8th March, 2017.

HM The Queen – 59 (47 – up 12 – 9.6%)
HRH The Duke of Edinburgh – 22 (15 – up 7 – 3.6%)
HRH The Prince of Wales – 96 (77 – up 19 – 15.7%)
HRH The Duchess of Cornwall – 41 (31 – up 10 – 6.7%)
HRH The Duke of Cambridge – 28 (19 – up 9 – 4.6%)
HRH The Duchess of Cambridge – 23 (13 – up 10 – 3.8%)
HRH Prince Henry of Wales – 26 (21 – up 5 – 4.2%)
HRH The Duke of York – 44 (35 – up 9 – 7.2%)
HRH Princess Beatrice – 0 (Unofficial – 2)
HRH Princess Eugenie – 0 (Unofficial – 2)
HRH The Earl of Wessex – 45 (39 – up 6 – 7.7%)
HRH The Countess of Wessex – 37 (32 – up 5 – 6.0%)
HRH The Princess Royal – 105 (86 – up 19 – 17.2%)
Vice-Admiral Timothy Laurence – 8 (6 – up 2 – 1.3%)
HRH The Duke of Gloucester – 40 (28 – up 12 – 6.5%)
HRH The Duchess of Gloucester – 23 (21 – up 2 – 3.8%)
HRH The Duke of Kent – 8 (8 – no change – 1.3%)
HRH Princess Alexandra – 5 (5 – no change – 0.8%)

The 95 isn’t my figure but was calculated by someone else so I am not sure how it would stack up to my figures.

Types of Engagements to 23rd March, 2017

Specific Charities or Organisations Supported via an Official Engagement to 23rd March, 2017

Weekly Update to 30th March, 2017

These figures will be still inaccurate as the online CC didn’t update between the 17th – 27th February. Amongst the missing engagements is the reception that most of the royal attended including Eugenie which is why she isn’t yet listed as undertaking an official duty as she hasn’t yet appeared in the CC at all with that engagement missing. I have read elsewhere that there were 95 engagements on these missing days - who knows they may update one day.

Amazingly – after being behind most weeks this week they managed to get the 30th March up by the time I first looked at the website on the morning of the 31st – while it was still the 30th March in the UK. That means that these are as likely as not to be ‘planned engagements’ rather than actual – so there may be an update later but … here goes anyway.

HM The Queen – 59 (59 – no change – 8.5%)
HRH The Duke of Edinburgh – 27 (22 – up 5 – 3.9%)
HRH The Prince of Wales – 116 (96 – up 20 – 16.7%)
HRH The Duchess of Cornwall – 42 (41 – up 1 – 6.1%)
HRH The Duke of Cambridge – 30 (28 – up 2 – 4.3%)
HRH The Duchess of Cambridge – 24 (23 – up 1 – 3.5%)
HRH Prince Henry of Wales – 27 (26 – up 1 – 3.9%)
HRH The Duke of York – 59 (44 – up 15 – 8.5%)
HRH Princess Beatrice – 0 (Unofficial – 2)
HRH Princess Eugenie – 0 (Unofficial – 2)
HRH The Earl of Wessex – 56 (45 – up 11 – 8.1%)
HRH The Countess of Wessex – 41 (37 – up 4 – 5.9%)
HRH The Princess Royal – 115 (105 – up 10 – 16.6%)
Vice-Admiral Timothy Laurence – 8 (8 – no change – 1.2%)
HRH The Duke of Gloucester – 46 (40 – up 6 – 6.6%)
HRH The Duchess of Gloucester – 26 (23 – up 3 – 3.8%)
HRH The Duke of Kent – 12 (8 – up 4 – 1.7%)
HRH Princess Alexandra – 5 (5 – no change – 0.7%)

The League Table

HRH The Prince of Wales – 116
HRH The Princess Royal – 115
HM The Queen – 59
HRH The Duke of York – 59
HRH The Earl of Wessex – 56
HRH The Duke of Gloucester – 46
HRH The Duchess of Cornwall – 42
HRH The Countess of Wessex – 41
HRH The Duke of Cambridge – 30
HRH The Duke of Edinburgh – 27
HRH Prince Henry of Wales – 27
HRH The Duchess of Gloucester – 26
HRH The Duchess of Cambridge – 24
HRH The Duke of Kent – 12
Vice-Admiral Timothy Laurence – 8
HRH Princess Alexandra – 5

Year to Date Total – 693 (612 – up 81)

Comparison with last year – 808-693=115 fewer this year in comparison to last year. NB With no updates from the 17th – 27th February this appears to be out by 95 but that is what they are recording so that is what it is – down 115 to this point of the year compared to how many were done last year. The 95 isn’t my figure but was calculated by someone else so I am not sure how it would stack up to my figures.

Last year the comparison week to this one was Holy Week during which only 5 engagements were carried out by the entire family. The equivalent week this year is two weeks away.

Percentage of Engagements

90s (Elizabeth, Philip) – 12.4%
80s (Edward Kent, Alexandra) – 2.5%
70s (Richard, Birgitte, Michael, Marie-Christine) – 6.6%
60s (Charles, Camilla, Anne, Tim) – 40.5%

FAILURE of British Monarchy Website to UPDATE CC

The weekly failure of the British Monarchy website: 26th March, 2017

No engagements from earlier in the year: 2nd, 4th, 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th January, 2017, 11th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th February and 19th March, 2017

On the bolded dates we know that around 95 engagements were undertaken from another source but the online CC doesn't think it worthwhile including those engagements for people to know about for some reason.
