With regard to Crown Prince Haakon being in London, he was there for BETT and he and Prince Andrew toured some exhibits together. There was an article in one of the Brirish tabloids referring to it at the time.

Prince Andrew met Crown Prince Haakon of Norway in London at BETT – Royal Central

For Eugenie I have no details and have simply missed Beatrice's - have it on the spreadsheet but not above - will be fixed.

Further to the above - I looked into the Eugenie one and she was simply at the races - something many of the royals do and I don't count races unless in the CC (even when they present awards - which happens a lot more than people think).

Beatrice was likewise simply at Davos. Not sure what it takes to make the unofficial list, but perhaps there should be unofficial lists for all royals such as Zara and Mike's appearances in Australia recently which seem similar to Beatrice showing up in Davos.

When Andrew used to go to Davos it was in the CC and counted for him.

Why I decide to count something is really a personal decision made by me.

This is, afterall, my listing which I have been sharing.

I have no intention of adding any more royals to my lists.

Again 'going to the races' which is all Mike and Zara did doesn't ever make my unofficial list - even when it is to Ascot in an official parade as happens for many royals every year (only The Queen and Philip are ever counted as going to Ascot).

If you would like to keep your own unofficial count then do so.

The summary based on the CC seems great & I wish they'd update a bit more consistently for you.
I was just curious if you had criteria for the unofficial list so as to point out appearances if I happened across them. Andrew when he was the trade guy would be noted for attending Davos in the CC, Beatrice as a private citizen w/ no role to play at Davos for crown or country seems a different situation, but as you say it is your list.

I think this one should be included as a "semi-official" engagement. Eugenie was received by the British High Commissioner to South Africa, who is the Queen's representative in that country; it can't get any more official than that without being in the CC.

That's curious, since they never seem to appear in the CC website in the UK.

I have major issues with the CC - I am sure many of us do - I do not consider Princess Beatrice or Eugenie attending an event to do with one of their charities any less worthy than Princess Alexandra attending a Chopin Society concert - yet Princess Alexandra makes the CC and the other two don't.

When I have been in the UK or Europe they were up at the same time as in Australia.

What goes into the CC is determined by the Queen so she obviously doesn't see what the York girls does as equal to what Alexandra does. She is clearly following decisions made at some level within the family as to the future of the Yorks - and that seems to be non-working royals and having to make their own way in the world.

That would fit with the rumours about a smaller family doing the work under Charles and then William.

She presented a plate at a race meeting - the sort of event that doesn't make the CC for other royals (nor does it when they are met by HC or Ambassadors on private visits to overseas nations - and they are).

Exactly - If they are up in Australia they are up in the UK in my experience. It is not like there are two different sites - one for the UK and one for overseas places.

The ones that I have as 'missing' this year are ones on which there were, in all likelihood, no actual engagements.

February Future Engagements as at 31st January 2017

This list is only according to what is put up on the British Monarch Website and doesn't include anything that may be put up anywhere else.

Unusually the Wales branch of the family have some events up while Andrew, as per usual, doesn't bother telling the people who run the British Monarchy Website anything that he is doing.

This list doesn't include events that will take place inside the palaces, other than some receptions, as they tend to only go up once they have occurred.

The Duchess of Gloucester will be doing engagements in Canada this month (this coming weekend in fact due to her position as Patron of British Tennis which will see her in Canada for the Davis Cup tie between the UK and Canada).

HM The Queen – 2
HRH The Duke of Edinburgh – 5
HRH The Prince of Wales - 5
HRH The Duchess of Cornwall – 5

Types of Engagements to 2nd February, 2017

NOTE: If you add up the totals from this section they will invariably be more than the weekly and yearly totals because of the way engagements are described e.g. HM ‘received and invested an individual’ on the 3rd January which is why she has ONE engagement but there are two items listed here. I do NOT count ‘where received by the Lord Lt or someone else when there is more to the engagement unless it is at the start of an official visit overseas e.g. Anne was ‘received by the Deputy Lt of Oxfordshire for her engagement but that was simply a handshake before entering the conference type thing as opposed to a formal start to a tour such as we saw last year when Charles and Camilla visited the Middle East.

Specific Charities or Organisations Supported via an Official Engagement to 2nd February, 2017

It should be noted that the event/s involving a charity/organization may or may not be carried out by the patron, president etc. It should also be noted that sometimes an event is related to two or more charities or organisations and I have recorded all of them here. Both Camilla and Andrew attended such events during this past week.

I have changed ‘Royal Colonel’ to Honourary Military Appointment because Camilla’s engagement this week wasn’t as a ‘Royal Colonel’ but as an Honourary Appointment so I put them all together rather than split them.

Types of Engagements to 16th February, 2017

Specific Charities or Organisations Supported via an Official Engagement to 16th February, 2017
