British Royal Family Engagements 2016

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
I was curious, so I checked. The 30th - 6th is still MIA. Otherwise the CC is up to date. How odd.

I Tweeted Clarence House, KP and TRF about the omissions. Not that I expect replies, just that I wanted to poke them. ;)

I've always said, the people in charge of managing the royals websites and updates deserve to be fired.

I don't think the royal household puts nearly as much emphasis on the CC as royal watchers do.

Consequently, sometimes the website falls behind or isn't updated.

It is astonishing to me that they probably don't know or don't care that they have forgotten to update a whole week. And that the Queen puts up with that level of ineffectiveness is just :censored: .
This is a lady who has been shown in numerous videos checking the placement of every piece of silver and china on the table for a state banquet.
Most of you here believe that she approves what goes in the CC and what does not. If she gets down to that level of detailed decision making, how is it possible that she does not have a method for having the posts double checked? She has someone in charge of checking her gloves, getting them sent to be mended and returned, for heaven's sake. I find in almost unbelievable that these omissions occur - except we know it has happened over and over.

I think those in charge of the website should on top of their game. Now, it could be that they're not getting paid enough and don't care much about their job. It could a range of things. I just think if you've been hired to do a job of running the monarchy's website, you better do your job right.

Lack of updates and missing CC enagement acknowledgements cannot be acceptable.

I agree. As the article states, it's very difficult to compare numbers. Not all engagements are 'equal'. The younger royal go for quality over quantity.

I also agree with Joe Little, managing editor of Majesty magazine when he says

William and Kate are damned if they do and damned if they don't.

"They are in a very tricky situation in that they don't want to do too much in public so that they eclipse his father and and step-mother."

"Harry has less of a defined role. He is very much the spare but much of what he has done has been incredibly successful of late."

We've talked this subject to death, but things will change when Charles is king, until that time, it's going to be more or less the same.

I think all three are doing exactly what is asked of them.

Philip - at 95 - 2 and Anne 13! Nothing for the next generation! It may be a holiday month (I believe the Cambridges are currently holidaying in France) but really when you look at those stats ..... !!

All but the last one where Anne will visit Russia are for the Olympics in Rio where she is a IOC member and President of the British Olympic Association.

I would be shocked - except that even TRF Fashion Polls take most of July and August off. It's a John 8:7 thing, to me.

August is always the slowest month as it is their holiday month. I have records that show them doing less than 50 as a family during the entire month with at least one year since 2000 when The Queen actually did none.

15 for the month in advance - with Anne going to Russia at the end of the month - would indicate about 50 for the month and that is totally normal.

Weekly update to 16th June, 2016

Due to work commitments and the Olympics I have been a bit slower at updating these than I had hoped but I am still working on them and will eventually be fully up to date – my aim is to be there by the time The Queen leaves Balmoral or William and Kate visit Canada, whichever comes first. Thanks for your patience.

This week includes the engagements over the Birthday and Trooping weekend – and thus my arrival in London. It was a lovely weekend – other than the rain spoiling my day at the Garter – so will have to try to get tickets again one day in the future – but who knows.

This week also included Ascot and we all saw the many images of the various royals who were attending the races but the CC only ever records The Queen and Philip as attending that race meeting officially.

Louise did two official engagements over that weekend and James one and so they are included for those. They both went to the Thanksgiving Church Service and Louise attended the Patron’s Lunch.

FAILURE of British Monarchy Website to UPDATE CC

The weekly failure of the British Monarchy website: 19th June, 2016 (with no access anymore to another online version of the CC I can only list dates here for which there is on entry in the Monarchy website version of the CC. This may mean there was no engagement on that day OR that they website chose not to put up events – which is the case for late June/early July but for this date I do suspect it was simply a Sunday on which they did nothing official – as happens sometimes).

Missing dates from earlier in the year: NONE (none up to the end 28th April according to the former online Times but … dates since then for which I can’t be sure will be listed from now on – it is possible that there were no engagements that day but I don’t have the back-up information any more). Nothing listed for 30th April.

This is the update to the 23rd June. The missing dates for late June and early July won’t appear until I reach those weeks in the updates. They are still missing by the way.
