I believe Prince Edward is attending this reception as well. There's normally a good turn out of royals for the receptions the Queen holds so I wouldn't be surprised if there were more attending.

Prince William and Princess Kate were transported back to the colorful sights and exquisite smells of Indian cuisine when they joined Queen Elizabeth at a Buckingham Palace party to celebrate cultural ties on Monday.

The royal couple, who visited the country for a memorable tour last April, helped host the bash marking the launch of U.K.-India Year of Culture 2017.

It will be interesting to see who the CC says was in attendance - assuming that it is every updated online again - last update is still the 16th February (I have never known it to be this slack).

I know there have been official events that one or other of the York girls (and even Andrew) have attended where their presence hasn't been noted in the CC.

Something tells me that Kunal Nayyar didn't have to down a few grasshoppers before being able to speak to the Queen but I can imagine that the butterflies in his stomach were pretty active at the time.

He is an amazing actor and I just love his character on Big Bang Theory and I think he expressed the difference between meeting a celebrity and the Queen quite eloquently and correctly. I'm glad he and his wife were able to be a part of the gala to mark the beginning of the UK-India Year of Culture 2017. It will be a night that the two of them will long remember as a highlight.

Queen thanks military who helped bring 'peace' to Iraq and Afghanistan at national memorial service
Quote:
The Queen, Theresa May and former prime minister Tony Blair were among those paying tribute to the Armed Forces and civilians who served their country during the Gulf War and conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.

They were joined by the Duke of Edinburgh, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall for the moving service at Horse Guards Parade in central London ahead of the unveiling of a national memorial.

Former prime ministers Sir John Major, David Cameron and Mr Blair - under whose leadership the conflicts were fought - also attended, along with other senior ministers.
