I like the very pretty brooch. And the Queen was wrapped up very snugly in her old fur coat for the first service!

Are the Tindalls and Phillips there? I haven't seen then. I saw bits of the Linleys and Chattos.

I thought that the Tindalls were suppose to be in Australia for Christmas. That's why they got all their presents at the Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace. As they drove away their back seat was filled with presents.

Kate has a sister and a brother I would guess they will join her for Christmas along with her parents. That would be two more bedrooms used.

The Middletons weren't seen at church or the soccer game, like they were last year. I don't think they're at Anmer this year. The Daily Mail lied.

Reporters are saying there's a heavy police presence with dogs and metal detectors.

Unusually, HM is not wearing a brooch today

The Queen, accompanied by members of the royal family, attended the second service.

I think they all look smashing....love love Anne's green coat. Not as fond of the light blue Eugenie is wearing or the blah grey color Sophie has on but my goodness, everyone looks so nice!

Camilla's coat is just lovely as well...really like that.

There is a progamme on Mr. Peter Wilkinson, The Queen of England's personal camera man.

It is wonderful that the Queen honoured Philip, Charles & Camilla, William & Catherine and George. By prominently placing their photographs. All of them are (future) monarchs and/or consorts. And petite Charlotte, her youngest great-grandchild of course.

Queen's Christmas message: Hope in 'moments of darkness' - BBC News
The Queen has used her Christmas Day address to speak of light triumphing over the dark in a year that has seen "moments of darkness".

It comes after a year which has seen a number of terror attacks, including mass shootings in Paris and the killing of 39 people at a Tunisian resort.

During the broadcast, the Queen acknowledged the birth of Princess Charlotte, her fifth great-grandchild.

She also made a light-hearted reference to her forthcoming 90th birthday.

Reflecting on the past year, the Queen described the festive period as "a time to remember all that we have to be thankful for".

Sitting at a desk in Buckingham Palace's 18th Century Room, she said: "It is true that the world has had to confront moments of darkness this year, but the Gospel of John contains a verse of great hope, often read at Christmas carol services: 'The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.'"

Queen Reflects On Moments Of Darkness In 2015
Terrorists atrocities shook the world during 2015, from the mass shootings and bombings in Paris last month to the gun attack at a Tunisian resort during the summer.

But the Queen sounded an optimistic tone when she quoted a verse from the Bible.

She said: "It is true that the world has had to confront moments of darkness this year, but the Gospel of John contains a verse of great hope, often read at Christmas carol services: 'The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it'."

Video: Queen's Speech was a message of love in the face of terror - Telegraph
Her Majesty's Christmas address was a testament to the human decency, generosity, and kindness which survives against all odds

Love is a necessity. The West must preserve its security and be hard-headed about the fight ahead. But it must not succumb to fear and lose the human decency that has helped it to win so many battles against so many foes. It must seek to be, to borrow Her Majesty’s powerful image, a light of the world.

Queen speaks of the plight of refugees | The Times
As she approaches her 90th birthday, the Queen appeared in an unusually reflective mood about the longevity of a family, remembering the milestones of her life from young bride to great-grandmother, now five times over.

She made no mention in her speech of becoming the longest reigning monarch in September.

Queen's Speech looks back at year of ISIS atrocities and forward to her 90th birthday | Daily Mail Online
In a year that marked the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, Her Majesty also offered renewed appreciation for the service and sacrifice of those who took part in the conflict.

She gave thanks to 'the people who bring love and happiness into our own lives', starting with family.

In one light-hearted quip, the Queen also joked about her upcoming landmark birthday.

She will turn 90 next year and recognised that by saying: 'I am looking forward to a busy 2016, though I have been warned I may have Happy Birthday sung to me more than once or twice.'

Poor Harry doesn't really have a 'fashion' thread but my he looks so nice today at the Church...love the long coat and he looks very dashing/elegant!

I too like Anne's coat (and hat.) I presume it's new, and not rejigged from 1976 or something! Just kidding! :p
I think that everyone looked nice today, though Kate's coat was a bit sombre for my taste. I think Sophie looked elegant in the grey and loved the Queen's red outfit. Good to see Louise wearing boots for a change and it was great to see young James.

Louise finally looked like like an adolescent instead of a little girl :) very chic beret she has on also.

So glad the Royals have been listening to Royal Forums fashion verdicts.

I loved what Louise was wearing! Definitely age appropriate. Her beret was by her mum's much favoured Jane Taylor so it must have cost a package. I'd like to know where her coat was from as I really liked it.
