[QUOTE="Iluvbertie;1601543"]Weekly update to 19th September

It seems as if the family are stepping out again but there are still some not doing much such as Charles and Camilla. Andrew and Sophie are both overseas with Andrew doing up to 7 a day while Sophie is on about 2 - 3 a day. Not really significant as her engagements could easily be longer than Andrew's. The Queen has done her first engagement since 8th August.

A lot of people may have seen reference to Beatrice undertaking an engagement on the 19th September, which she did, but HM The Queen didn't regard this as a 'royal duty' as she didn't authorise it being mentioned in the CC. This is normal for the York girls - all their charity work is done as private individuals not as representatives of The Queen.

HM The Queen - 247 (246 - up 1)
HRH The Duke of Edinburgh - 118 (118 - no change)
HRH The Prince of Wales - 417 (416 - up 1)
HRH The Duchess of Cornwall - 189 (189 - no change)
HRH The Duke of Cambridge - 27 (27 - no change)
HRH The Duchess of Cambridge - 30 (30 - no change)
HRH Prince Henry of Wales - 43 (43 - no change)
HRH The Duke of York - 250 (235 - up 15)
HRH Princess Beatrice of York - 7 (7 - no change)
HRH Princess Eugenie of York - 5 (5 - no change)
HRH The Earl of Wessex - 234 (217 - up 17)
HRH The Countess of Wessex - 164 (159 - up 5)
HRH The Princess Royal - 318 (312 - up 6)
Vice-Admiral Tim Lawrence - 23 (23 - no change)
HRH The Duke of Gloucester - 154 (150 - up 4)
HRH The Duchess of Gloucester - 85 (77 - up 8)
HRH The Duke of Kent - 147 (147 - no change)

HRH Prince Michael of Kent – 4 (4 - no change)
HRH Princess Michael of Kent - 4 (4 - no change)
HRH Princess Alexandra - 0 (0 - no change)

Order from most downwards - the 'league table' if you like. I refuse to calculate how people are moving up or down that list. I do move people around who have moved up or down but I am not putting in how many places they are moving - although usually it is only one place in either direction.

Alexandra is still on sick leave but expected back on the 21st should register her first engagement next week, unless she had to cancel at the last minute and I haven't seen anything to suggest that yet. I also haven't seen any reports of her doing the engagements either so...
Impressive. I hope the Kent s and Gloucester families stay around once The Prince of Wales takes over

I'm sure they'll "be around" whether they do engagements at that age is a different matter. We'll probably only see them at big events.

As the Gloucesters are only a couple of years older than Charles and Camilla I think they will continue what they are doing at the time of his accession. The Kents are older of course and could easily be much less visible by then.

I am seeking some assistance:

According to the CC on the British Monarchy website - my source of information - there were no engagements for anyone on the 20th, 21st and 22nd of September. As these days include Sophie still overseas, Andrew overseas and Alexandra's first appearances for 2013 I suspect that they have forgotten to update but have done so for the 22nd.

If anyone is able to help it would be much appreciated either in this thread of by PM.

Thanks to the British people who have been able to help in the past.

Weekly update to 3rd October

A lot of activity this week, except for Charles and Camilla who seem to still be on holiday. Even Alexandra was on another engagement which was lovely to see.

Some people will question why 2 for William when all he did was the football match. The CC listed him as attending a reception AND football match while the Duchess of Gloucester only attended the football match - hence 1 for her and 2 for him.

HM The Queen - 258 (253 - up 5)
HRH The Duke of Edinburgh - 123 (119 - up 4)
HRH The Prince of Wales - 423 (423 - no change)
HRH The Duchess of Cornwall - 191 (191 - no change)
HRH The Duke of Cambridge - 29 (27 - up 2)
HRH The Duchess of Cambridge - 30 (30 - no change)
HRH Prince Henry of Wales - 49 (43 - up 6)
HRH The Duke of York - 284 (275 - up 9)
HRH Princess Beatrice of York - 7 (7 - no change)
HRH Princess Eugenie of York - 5 (5 - no change)
HRH The Earl of Wessex - 274 (247 - up 27)
HRH The Countess of Wessex - 200 (180 - up 20)
HRH The Princess Royal - 349 (334 - up 15)
Vice-Admiral Tim Laurence - 23 (23 - no change)

HRH Prince Michael of Kent – 4 (4 - no change)
HRH Princess Michael of Kent - 4 (4 - no change)
HRH Princess Alexandra - 4 (3 - up 1)

Order from most downwards - the 'league table' if you like. I refuse to calculate how people are moving up or down that list. I do move people around who have moved up or down but I am not putting in how many places they are moving - although usually it is only one place in either direction.

Weekly update to 17th October

The Queen was definitely back to work this week with lots of 'received' and 'audiences' as a number of Ambassadors and High Commissioners were received on either relinquishing their post or taking up a new post and a number of other people took on new positions within the household and others stepped down.

Philip was also out and about as were pretty well everyone except Charles who was only out on one day (only done 6 engagements in October but he does have a major tour coming up early next month so he will be busy).

It would nice if there was a way to see the Old Court Circular of Engagements that were carried out by the Royal Family dating back to King George III (That when they began to record them) through the 1990s.

Weekly update to 24th October

Everyone out and about this week. Interesting note about the Christening - mentioned in the CC but no list of royal who attended so I didn't count it as an engagement as I only count the times that the various royals are specifically mentioned in the CC.

Anne has been busy in Canada as we would expect. Another interesting thing about the 23rd - every royal had engagements that day except William, Kate, Harry, Beatrice, Eugenie, Tim, Duke and Duchess of Kent and Prince and Princess Michael - so of the standard 'working royals' listed on the CC site (as opposed to in the CC itself) only William, Kate, Harry and the Duke of Kent (who was returning from Hungary) who didn't have something else on. Sounds like William and Kate chose a date on which the entire family were otherwise engaged.

If your local library has copies (mine used to have them on micro-fiche but are digitalising them) of The Times you will be able to get them.

Annual Engagements by members of the Royal Family 2011-2013 is the link for Iluvberties numbers through the same time last year.

Fewer appearances overall - but it is amazing how much is the same if you account for the much greater activity of a Jubilee year. The major difference is in the Queen's activity in the league tables.

Thanks for all the updates, Iluvbertie.
