the statue of queen maud is a nice one. loved that they did it taking into account the "figure" she had when posing for portraits (after all that's the only way we have to know how they looked like!). anyone knows who designed and where it is now located?
the colours both queens wore are great colours. they really flatter them. queen elizabeth's hat is as regal and elegant as usual (no one better than the british royals for hats) and sonja's is original and looks great on her. not my favourite outfit for mette marit: i definetely think she looks better in soft, pastel and bright colours rather than this darker ones where she seems to get lost.

I must say that I'm rather awed by admiration for Crown Princess Mette-Marit at the Guildhall banquet, she looked drop dead gorgeous and fabulous to be honest! Further comments are unnecessary.
The same goes for the Duchess of Gloucester, she's such an amazing lady and also looked spectacular! But I'm also one of those who wonder why she wears miniature medals with gala dresses as she tends to do, for me those medals best fits with uniform. It doesn't bother me that much, I just find it peculiar. It has sort of become "her thing" now. A big thanks to everyone for all the pictures!

I do not agree on what the reporter has to say about Mette-Marits clothes. I think all her outfits looks fantastic!!
