King Tuanku Abdul Halim attended the launch of a new biography of him at Istana Negara. The biography book entitled 'The Return' was written by Tunku Datuk Dr Sofiah Jewa.

King Tuanku Abdul Halim and Queen Tuanku Hajah Haminah today at 10.15 am Malaysian time departed for Indonesia to begin their four-day State Visit.

Their Majesties will be accorded the State Welcoming Ceremony by the President of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Ibu Ani Herawati at Istana Merdeka in Jakarta tomorrow morning 4 December 2012. This is Their Majesties' third State Visit since becoming the 14th King and Queen.

His Majesty inspected the guard of honour mounted by the First Battalion of the Malay Royal Regiment at Kuala Lumpur International Airport before the departure.

King Tuanku Abdul Halim and Queen Tuanku Hajah Haminah have arrived at Halimperdanakusuma Airport in Jakarta to begin their State Visit. Their Majesties were welcomed on arrival by the Indonesian Foreign Minister Dr. Marty Natalegawa.

While the great news were emerging in the west, King Tuanku Abdul Halim and Queen Tuanku Hajah Haminah were accorded State Welcoming Ceremony for their four-day State Visit to Indonesia by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and First Lady Ani Herawati. The welcoming ceremony included the national anthems of both countries, inspection of guards of honour and a 40-minute meeting at Istana Merdeka.

TV1 news mentioned that among Their Majesties' visit programmes include visitation to Istiqlal Mosque and a welfare house and Antara news also mentioned that they will be visiting Kalibata Patriot Cemetery. Tonight Their Majesties will be attending the State Banquet.

On the festival of Hari Raya (Eid El-Fitr) particularly on the first day every year I remember the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, the Sultan of Johor and the Sultan of Selangor were always reported to open their palaces to the public in the morning after prayer until noon - very good opportunity to meet Their Royal Highnesses and enjoy lots of food as well. Check the Islamic calendar you'll find the exact date every year.

I don't know about other Rulers but the King (the Yang di-Pertuan Agong) usually only hosts Eid El-Fitr open house at Istana Negara once every five year usually on the last year of his term.

On behalf of the Malaysian Girl Guide Association, Raja Puan Muda of Perak Raja Nor Mahani and the daughter of the King Tunku Puteri Soraya visited flood victims in Kuala Terengganu. Accompanied by the Prime Minister's wife they helped cleaning flood victim house.
