Sultan Ibrahim of Johor has consented to grant a Royal pardon to eight prisoners. This very rare move was carried out in honour of the commencement of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. Yesterday, the Keeper of the Rulers' Seal announced that Muslims in Malaysia will start to observe the fasting month on Saturday 21 July 2012.

Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin of Terengganu attended breaking of fast at Istana Maziah in Kuala Terengganu. Also in attendance Sultanah Nur Zahirah, Yang di-Pertuan Muda Tengku Muhammad Ismail and Tengku Ampuan Besar Tengku Intan Zaharah. Muslims will observe fast for 30 days everyday from dawn to dusk. At sunset, they are allowed to break their fast.

According to the news of the Olympic Council of Asia, King Tuanku Abdul Halim and Queen Tuanku Haminah will be arriving in London tomorrow to give support to the Malaysian athletes who are competing in the 2012 London Olympic Games. It means Their Majesties will most likely be present in the Opening Ceremony on 27 July 2012. Oh! Can't wait to watch the grand opening.
