The Windsors was rude, crude and a real blast of punk comedy

This scabrous takedown of the Royal family was not one encumbered by subtlety. It stuck every member in the stocks and threw rotten fruit at them for an hour. Each and every actor hammed it up as if it was one big panto. Prince Charles, played by Harry Enfield, was portrayed as stupid and slow; Wills (W1As Hugh Skinner) was stupid and deluded; Harry (Richard Goulding) was just really, really stupid.
I have one word for this show: Garbage!

I didn't watch the trailer but judging from the description of the show posted, it reminds me a lot of a series we had going here in the States called "The Royals".

It was a totally fictional British royal family and there were allusions to the real life House of Windsor but after the first season, it kind of got too stupid to watch as it focused mostly on sex, drugs and internal backstabbing and even murder.

Shows like this don't really last too long.

The trailer alone is painful to look at!

I'm afraid some people will find some kind of truth in this bunch of crap.
The BRF should sue (if only ...).

I think it's meant to be one of those shows that's so bad it's good.

laughed my head off at the trailer, reminds me of "Spitting Image" back in the day :) I think some may worry they're hitting a bit close to the mark in the depiction of some of them :)

If the royals actually carried on like that in real life, the media would love it. It would make the royals more interesting in their eyes.

That's because you're a big fan/admirer (your words) of Diana, and that you don't like Charles/Camilla.

A friend wanted me to watch the series with them, so I had to watch the first two episodes and well, I don't want to continue watching the series. The acting seems forced to me, and I don't like the republican feel the show gives off. Camilla isn't one of my favourite members of the RF, but I think her portrayal in this show is incredibly unfair (she's almost portrayed like an evil queen who wants to destroy the Duchess of Cambridge); as well as Edward's. This isn't something that I'd recommend and I just hope the RF haven't been watching!

I haven't seen it yet as I'm waiting for the DVD to come out. I have a feeling that I am going to enjoy it.

I came across this interview with Hugh Skinner who plays William.

Has anyone been watching this British comedy show, The Windsors, on Channel 4?

https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbi...-the-windsors/

Actor, Kathryn Drysdale, has joined the series in the role of Meghan Markle.

I actually find this show hilarious. Broad, dumb, and completely unrealistic, but so funny. It's basically the tabloid depiction of each member of the family boiled down to its essence (and shows pretty clearly how stupid those tabloid depictions really are by stringing them out).

Their Princess Anne...I've decided she's a Wallace and Grommit character come to life.

Actually I think its quite funny. I didn't think I was going to and thought is was trash TV and it is in someways but I actually think its clever than it appears. It does make fun of the royals but more so it makes fun of how the Royals are shown very 1-dimensionally in the media.
