Hey guys...here are two movies about Princess Diana. I'll try to find more ;)

Diana: Her True Story (1993)

Charles and Diana: A Palace Divided (1992)

;) Hi

There are a few other movies I have either seen or heard about,

1. "The Women of Windsor" also known as "Royal Ambition" This was a two night mini series that aired in Australia about 10 years ago. It was released on video heavily edited to about 2.5 hrs (from original 4hrs) under the Royal Ambition title.

2. "Fergie & Andrew: Behind the Palace Doors" Although this is mainly about the Yorks, Princess Diana's character is in it. Also on video

3. "Charles and Diana" This premiered around the time of the Royal Wedding in 1981 and had Catherine Oxenburg as Lady Diana. She also made the "Unhappily Ever after" movie - sort of a sequel I guess. Have not seen this on video

3. Not sure of the title, but there was a movie that was based around the last few months of her life and her "relationship" with Dodo - sorry, Dodi.

There may be more movies, i'll check it out.

Thanks

Diana:The People's Princess aired on TNT, I believe Amy Scott played
the part of the Princess of Wales. It coveres from the divorce and
ends just Diana's car enters into the tunnel. Their was also a miniseries
called Diana: Her True Story, which aired on NBC, and CBS aired a movie
called The Merry Vives of Windsor I believe. Also, the Disney Chanel
created a movie about Prince's William and Harry, but it begins with
them learning of Diana's death.

Serena Scott Thomas played Diana in the critically acclaimed dramatization based
on Andrew Morton's bestselling expose of the real story behind the royal marriage breakup.

Catherine Oxenberg starred as the princess in 1982's The Royal Romance of Charles and Diana,
and in Charles and Diana: Unhappily Ever After, later renamed Charles and Diana: A Palace Divided

For some reason, I missed these movies on Diana. Does anyone know how to find them?

Thank you for any information you can provide.

videos of diana and charles

princess diana was the most photographed woman in the world, but there doesn't seem to be much footages of her, i do believe that her and charles made a documentary called 'Prince and princess of wales, In public and In private' but i wasn't even born when that was aired.

If anyone has any video or footages of her, or both her and charles on royal visits/ tours or any other clips, please post?

You can probably find it on eBay. I saw recently someone made a compilation of something like ten movies/documentaries of Charles and Diana. A couple I remember reading on the list was the interviews in 1985 and 1986.

Has anybody heard of DiSpy it is also known as Over Exposed? I dion't want to see it but a friend told me about it. They said it was about Dinaa and the incident with her Gym photos being taken without her knowing. If anybody has any info please tell me.

Yup, I know that movie "over Exposed" Believe it or not, the women who played diana was a porn star. A friend of mine has Over exposed on VHS now she wishes she never wasted her money on it (in her words)

"An utter a complete piece of trash! The women who played diana could not act to save her life."

In fact, here is a web site you can see a clip of the movie.

Click on Christina Hance as diana from over exposed to see a clip of the movie.

German TV-documentory about Camilla and Diana

Sorry for x-posting, but as we've quite some German members here, I'm afraid they might miss this treat:

I just saw that tonight (11.07.2007) at 20.15 German TV-station ZDF is going to broadcast the first of the new documentary series called "Rivalinnen" (female rivals). First pair of rivals are Diana and Camilla. The next ones will bei Soraya Esfandiary/Farah Diba and the shah, then Jackie Kennedy/Maria Callas and Onassis and finally Eva Braun/Mrs. Goebbels and Hitler (it is a German TV-documentary, after all!).

ZDF is quite renowned for the quality of their documentaries which have been awarded a lot of national and international awards. Plus they do have a well connected team of Royal reporters, thus I believe it'll be worth seeing.

Would someone be able to tape it and make a link to this website? Would that be ok?

I remember when this was aired back in 1986. It was shown over to nights in the UK. It was filmed by the ITN camera man Sebastian Rich who has recently made claims about diana in an autobiography. It was released on video but hasn't been available for many years now. I have a copy myself and much of the footage is unavailable anywhere else. I have recently transferred it to DVD so as to preserve the original tape. A book of the same title was issued at the same time as the TV documentary, full of pictures by Tim Graham which were, at the time, unseen. Probably the most famous image from the book is the picture of her wearing white overalls, leaning against the sundial at Highgrove. The picture has re-appeared in many books since. The book sometimes turns up in second-hand shops in the UK but the video seems hard to get hold of.

Hard? Impossible, especially for Americans. The very few times I have seen it offered on eBay, it was available only in the VHS/PAL format, which doesn't work on American players. :(

As I recall, as I saw it when it aired in 1986, it was an excellent documentary, as far as it offered some exclusive footage. But, I do wish they'd re-release it, as I would love to see it again.

The Day Diana Died Television Program help

Hello

I am working for a television production company that is interested in making a program about the day Diana died. Rather than being a standard account of the day we are looking to incorporate the reactions of members of the public. In particular we are interested to see if anybody has home video footage existing from the day in question showing their immediate reaction to the news, or actions they took later in the day or the day of the funeral which directly related to the event (laying flowers, watching news reports etc).

If anybody has any footage of this kind we would be greatly interested in hearing from you.

Cheers

I recently watched the DVD Diana - A People's Princess and in it was a woman "Elsa" who talked about her relationship with Diana, Princess of Wales. Does anyone know the background of this woman and what her full name is? I waited for the credits but it didn't show her name.

Thanks

Seeking a couple of 80s movies about Charles and Diana--can anyone help me?

I don't know if these two 1982 movies aired anywhere but in America, but I'm wondering if they can be found anywhere on video or DVD. If not, did anyone tape them when they first came on, and does that person still have the videos? The names of the 2 movies are "Charles and Diana: A Royal Love Story" (aired on September 17, 1982) and "The Royal Romance of Charles and Diana" (aired just a few days later, on September 20).

David Robb and Caroline Bliss played the starring roles in the 1st movie, while Christopher Baines and Catherine Oxenburg played the two roles in the second one. Hope that info helps.

Thanks for any information you can give me! :)

Yours truly,
Kathy G.

Hi Kathy,

Sorry for not noticing your question before now. According to the Internet Movie Database, neither of the films came out as a DVD or VHS movie. If you're looking to buy a copy of a privately taped version, I'm not sure what to suggest since I think such a copy would be illegal so venues like eBay would probably discourage them. We don't allow buying, selling, and trading on this site, but you could try googling and see what you come up with.

Kathy,
Charles and Diana: A Royal Love Story was just recently on ebay like this past week. It might still be there. It was a private copy.
The Royal Romance of Charles and Diana. I think replays on tv once in awhile on WE.
Three suggestions:
1-Get a tivo, the tivo wishlist will track those movies down eventually and everything else on the RF. It is amazing at that.
2- Put a favorite search on ebay for them. That is great for finding stuff on ebay especially for obscure items.
3-The uber Diana/RF collector in Los Angeles, might have them.
Hope that helps. :)

Thanks.

Too bad there's no way to actually get a copy other than auctioning. I hope it comes out some other way, as bidding tends to get so high.

Well, for the moment your best bet is probably to keep an eye out for it to be rebroadcast on TV and be ready to tape it.

I did, when "Charles and Diana: A Royal Love Story" aired on the Family Channel--what I seek is the original, complete version, not the one with scenes taken out to make room for commercials.

I taped "The Royal Romance of Charles and Diana" when it aired on CBS for the second time, during the mid-80s, but I missed taping the other when it did the same. Now I regret missing that, as only an edited version will air on some cable channel in the future, if it airs at all. I don't want an edited version--I already have that--I want the original, complete version of that movie, complete with original ABC trailer.
