World Water Week; August 12-18, 2007
Quote:
No, she has two engagements this week... both in Stockholm so she is probably at home at Drottningholm
Tomorrow she will be present at the Junior Water Prize and on wednesday she will attend a concert at Stockholm palace
|
Will the Crown Princess also attend the World Water Forum this year, which should be held within a few weeks in Stockholm again. The Prince of Orange will be there too.

Today's event is the only one on the calendar for Victoria in connection with the World Water Week. The King and Queen have a few events, though.
|
You are right, he will be there the 13th till the 16th. Why does CP Victoria always attend the event? Is she involved in watermanagment too?

OMG Lena, you're right. Well, you know what they say, when you've been together too long, you start acting like the other person. HAHA She looks great BTW. Her jewelry is really pretty.

[The prize]*is awarded to encourage the interest of young people in water and science issues. In 2007 the Stockholm Junior Water Prize celebrates its 10th anniversary as an international youth competition open to pre-university students between ages 15–20 who have completed a water-related project. The projects can be done individually or in a group, and may focus on a local, regional or global problem.

I'm loving to see all of these pics. Willem-Alexander being there is that because of his own personal interests for his country? I'm just curious why W-A is there.
off subject but Marengo, I love your avatar, it's very nice!

Willem-Alexander has been involved with water managment for a long time, you can read about that here. At the moment he is chairman of the UN Secretary-General’s Advisory Board on Water and Sanitation.
I like the avatar too actually, though I believe it is WA´s younger brother Friso who is hanging over the late Prince Claus in Porto Ercole, Italy.
