in some pictures it seems like he has yellow hair. funny :)

The king and queen are from 10-14th February 2007 in Are (Ski WM). What are they doing there - apart from looking the races and award the medals?

What are they doing at Monday? On this day are NO races?

Love it!

Okay I think the hat is a little dorky but I love it on her! Crown Princess Victoria wears the hat not the hat wears her. I love it on her because it shows her personality and for some reason she can get away with the hat. :)

Great pics, thanks Iceflower!

The King looks a little disgruntled in the pics maybe he was cold or tired. I love the last one of Victoria, I think it's a very unique way that the camera caught her. Not sure if she was doing something with her hair/cap or if she was waving. But it looks very natural therefore it's my fave.

You are most welcome, Aurora :flowers: and I totally agree with you about the pic you've mentioned :) Here are some more pics from today:

I love these pics as well. Man, does Victoria have charisma or what? Pic 2 is great and I love seeing the King show so much emotion that's what was missing from the previous pics. What daughter hasn't covered her ears while her dad screams and becomes slightly embarassing?;)

This is great seeing the Royal Family like this! Just like any other normal person, this is what makes me like the Swedish Royal Family so much, they are not afraid to let their personalities show and be seen to have fun. Much more relaxed than the British Royal Family.

I totally agree, its so nice to see royalty acting like just normal people because so many royal families are not like that.

Thank you, iceflower, for posting the very lovely pics of the King and Queen and Victoria in Are.
I totally agree with all of you. It is great to see the family behave so natural, having fun and showing their emotions.
By the way: I really love Victorias outfit!

How nice to see Oscar and Estelle.
Good to see Mette-Marit again too

Estelle and Oscar didn't come to watch the slalom part of Alpine combined in the afternoon.

Short video of Victoria and Daniel
From the lectern in Åre, Prince Daniel, Crown Princess Victoria and their children, saw the Swedes, who performed well in the downhill race.
Lisa Hörnblad came in on place 11 and Lin Ivarsson in place 18 in front of the slalom race which ends the super combination.
Perhaps the royals envied their friends Mette-Marit and Haakon, Crown Prince and Crown Prince of Norway when their representative Ragnhild Mowinckel was third after the downhill.
But if it was so, it wasn't seen at the photos.
They rather seem to have had a great time together. Mette-Marit took off her Norwegian beanie to wear the Swedish yellow, the one with the text Sweden and Åre, to Victoria's satisfaction.
- It's great, really fun. It's fun that the World Championships are in Åre, says Crown Princess Victoria.
You got a swedish beanie on Mette-Marit too, or?
- Yes, says Victoria and laughs before Prince Daniel fills in:
- It was probably an Åre-beanie for her.

Great to see Victoria and co. with Haakon and MM! It seems they all get along well and I loved photos of the conversation Estelle seemed to be having with her godmother. They both seem to be quite loving families so it was wonderful to see them together.

I heard Swedish and Norwegian are similar languages. Maybe they spoke on their respective languages instead of using just one to communicate?

Yes. I understand norwegian, and norwegians understans swedish. So you are right - they just speak their own language and understand each other.

Great photos of Oscar (and others)
The royal family is in place and cheers on the Swedish team, and ensures that the snow ends up in the right place from time to time.
Perhaps Prince Oscar had been able to do a nice job on Sweden's various streets and squares, which in the past few days have been so snow-covered so that traffic had a hard time getting through.
He stood with a blue shovel and looked to try to scrape clean in Åre, where the ski World Cup is currently underway. Of course, it is difficult for any child to stay away from the snow if you get a shovel in your hand.

Some of the greatest stars in the history of alpine skiing (Ingemar Stenmark, Anja Pärson and others) will race again at Skistar Invitational in Åre on 12 February. The competition is held in cooperation with the non-profit organization founded by Thomas Fogdö known as Active Life Foundation which supports the care and rehab of athletes who were seriously injured, among other things.

Short video of the king and queen's interview
King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia have just seen the American star Lindsey Vonn celebrated for her bronze, and the career that is now over.
The royal couple saw the races from the stand and were impressed:
- What a farewell performance she could perform, she failed as we all know the previous races this week, but now she could finish the days here, and her amazing career coming third. She received the spectators' cheers so it was amazing, the king says.
- It was great to see, and we congratulate everyone on their medals, says Queen Silvia.
Estelle and Oscar went downhill
Before the race, on Sunday morning Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar had taken the slopes in Åre together with the Crown Princess couple.
- It is very fun, says Queen Silvia who is delighted with the grandchildren's progress both in the downhill slopes and in the cross-country skiing.
- If you have the opportunity, it is fun to let the children try different sports, says the king.
Met Stenmark
On Sunday, the King also met Ingemar Stenmark.
- It is fun to meet Ingemar here, he has been seen since his glory days, says the king.
And Silvia fills in:
- Think when Sweden stopped when Ingemar raced, it was fantastic.
