Madeleine gained some weight. It suits her!
 
She had to wear this dress on the Greek wedding! The combination - green color, tan and blond locks suits her perfectly.
 
She did gain weight, but it's understandable considering what she went through this past year.
 
Loved the dress. She looked good in it.
 
Did Madeleine just have one engagement during her visit to Sout Africa?

Last night, Queen Silvia also attended a charity gala for her 'World Childhood Foundation', held at the Residenz Palace in Munich.
Among the guests were Franz, Duke of Bavaria and opera singer Jonas Kaufmann.

Does anybody know how it works at such events? Do you 'buy' a table/seat or are you invited to the event? Considering that the adopted son of prince Waldemar of Schaumburg-Lippe aren't regareded all that well by much of the German royaly, I wonder how his name ended up on the guestlist.

It a pity that queen Silvia cancelled her participation at yesterday´s events. Hopefully she attends the gala dinner tonight.
 
Hope we'll get better pics from yesterday gala because the queen and the princess look lovely!
 
I'm so happy to see Queen Silvia again after her illness!! She looks great.
 
Photos from Svensk Damtidning's website. The Queen has lost weight as can be expected from a long battle with a flu. The similarities between her and CP Victoria are more evident now, especially the chins.

The Queen look fabulous.

Queen Silvia was injured in New York when she was about to enter a car - and stumbled over a few garbage bags. She and Madeleine were at the clothing store Beretta on Madison Avenue in Manhattan. Aftonbladet's reporter and a hired a freelance photographer were waiting outside the shop.
Bertil Ternert from the court says that the queen and princess had met the photographer in the past. They felt that he didn´t want to take into consideration that they did not want to be photographed, so both went out through a side door to the entrance door. The queen walked quickly to the parked car and then she fell and injured her foot when she tried to escape being photographed. Silvia also damaged her hand slightly as she fell. But Silvia will still be present at tonight's awards ceremony, where she receives an award for her with the Childhood Foundation.
