Queen Silvia spoke today at "Children and the Sustainable Development Goals: Giving Every Child a Chance" conference in UN, arranged by World Childhood Foundation and Mentor Foundation.

The queen was interviewed by Robyn Curnow from CNN Freedom.

The queen said to Expressen:
- I am very happy, I must say. In the beginning, 20 years ago, no one wanted to listen. Nobody wanted to talk about it and it was quite frustrating. If you don't talk about it, you can not change anything. Through Childhood we have tried to do it our way.
The queen sounded positive at the speech. In what way is the view of children's rights changing?
- People talk about rights. It is not many years since they knew they existed, but not in our hearts. Nowadays one speaks of them, child labor is a major issue, listening to children, include them. I think that's fine. But it is also about the right of children to education, it is important to help moms and talk about the children must go to school to get a future, a career, a life and not end up in the hands of someone who exploits them.
The Queen said that the ongoing refugee catastrophe made the issues seem even timelier.
- Here I am very concerned when children come alone without parents. There is great danger and I would like to train those who take care of the kids so they can protect them. They are so vulnerable, they have none. Moreover, they are traumatized and easy to exploit.
Princess Madeleine has also great affection for children and worked with "Thank You" campaign and would have been here but had to cancel because of the kids. How is it with them?
- Well, that's just fine. But unfortunately, she's very sorry and hoped to the last that she could come. They are doing well, but she could not leave the little man, he is only three months, this was a bit complicated for her. It is a great pity for she has been involved in developing the project "Thank You" and tonight is launched something called "Eyes Wide Open", then if you see something then you should report it. So we can all save the children who are vulnerable. Eyes wide open - this is the new! She has been working with us so it's a shame that she can not be with.
When I met the Queen last time there were two grandchildren, now it's three and a fourth on coming? How does the queen cope with?
- Yes, it's a good question! In the summer, we were all together and we have a little tradition where we go and collect the eggs, say hello to the chickens and go to the horses. It's something that we grandmothers think is great fun - to be with our grandchildren. We have had great fun this summer. All our children are well, thank God! Even the crown princess is feeling very well and we look forward to the next child.
Charity Gala at the Ritz Hotel attracted guests like designer Efva Attling, actress Uma Thurman and the queen of Jordan. The tickets cost from 1000 dollars. For those who wanted to sit at the Queen's table and get to the VIP room, it was much more expensive. The most expensive tables for ten guests went for 50,000 dollars.

Last week the court listend the queen for "concert for World Childhood Foundation" in Sao Paulo/Brasil on 20th October 2015.
But I don't found information or pics from this event.
The royal couple hasn't this and next week no official events. Are they in holiday, perhaps in Brasil?

Yes, the event was at the calendar for some time and then it was taken away. I also thought that the king and queen have gone for a holiday, maybe to Brazil, or maybe Thailand, where they also enjoy spending their holidays. Next week is the common autumn holiday week in Sweden.
