En dag på jobbet för prinsessan Madeleine | Svensk Damtidning
An article from expressen:
Madeleine back on the job after the ski trip
Madeleine with her daughter, Leonore and her husband Chris O'Neill enjoyed skiing recently. But on Tuesday the Princess was back on the job.
Princess Madeleine is following in her mother, Queen Silvia's footsteps and working strongly for various charities. Something that is additional to the heart of the Princess, is her mother Silvia's organization, the World Childhood Foundation. The Queen founded it in 1999 and for several years Madeleine worked for Childhood in the United States and is one of the project managers.
Yesterday was time for one of the annual board meetings of Childhood, Princess Madeleine was of course in place. In February she enjoyed winter life in Gstaad, but she is now back in Sweden.
- Princess Madeleine today represented the royal family, explains Margareta Thorgren at the court's information department.
- Princess Madeleine will undertake several official assignments in the Spring for the Royal Family, continues Thorgren.
After the board meeting yesterday, Princess Madeleine sat at the conference table at the Royal Palace. The next official mission for the Princess is on Monday in Stockholm at a conference on human trafficking - a topic that both Madeleine and Queen Silvia have engaged in for several years.
Both the Princess and the Queen have been recognized for their commitment. Silvia and Madeleine decided not to attend the award ceremony for the Polar Music Prize since laureate Chuck Berry had previously been convicted of trafficking.
- It was a family decision and I hope that everyone respects it, Silvia previously told Expressen.
- Unfortunately, I had heard very late what had happened and then I felt that it was not okay for me to be at the ceremony because there are so many who believe in me, Childhood and the Princess. All these values that are still so important today, she continued.''
