The Royal Family's Travels

I´m in a travelling mood today! Unfortunately its not possible for me to travel around the world today, but one can always dream :)

So why not post as many photos as possible of other people travelling!
But just photos where you can actually see where they are. Like the one of the royal couple at Taj Mahal, Victoria outside the Operahouse in Sydney...

I´m sure there are many such photos!

Lets start when the most recent ones, Victoria outside the Opera house in Sydney in March 2005!

1-3. well, I must admit that I hadn´t been able to identify the location if I hadn´t knew it :)
But I´m sure there are people who can!

Victoria photographed in the Castle of Borgholm on Öland. Its the summer of 1995, just a few days after her 18th birthday

...and strolling with her beloved Daniel almost 10 years later, a late evening in the summer of 2004

8. Victoria with former Swedish prime minister Carl Bildth in New York, USA. This must have been june/july 2000. It was in Battery park during the celebrations of midsummer.

1-2. The whole royal family spent a wonderful holiday together in Brazil, in 2002. They went down the Amazon river and stayed at Ariaú Jungle Tower close to Manaus. Here´s the hotel! http://www.ariautowers.com/

3-4. The royal couple, Victoria and Carl Philip went to Ibiza in june 1995. I dont know anything more about that trip but anyway, here they are in a harbour in Ibiza!

5-6. In December 2003, just before Queen Silvias 60th birthday, the whole family stayed at the famous Ice hotel in Jukkasjärvi in northern Sweden.

The whole hotel is made of ice and because of that, it has to be completely rebuilt every year.

7-9.the King, the Queen, Madeleine and Carl Philip in Thailand in january 2003.
I think this was in Patong Beach(?)
They sailed around the Thai islands on the ship Star Clipper.

Thank you Yennie for the great photos. They sure have been to some amazing places. My favourite photos are from their visit to the Ice Hotel (how nice would it be to go there?) and the ones from Brazil (they looked like they did some serious hiking or trekking through the jungle, judging from their attire :p).

I love the yellow dress Victoria is wearing in front of the Opera House ^___^ This is one of the advantages of being a royal....you get to travel all the time! ^___^

1. Victoria in Hollywood! She went on a guided tour and here she is in front of the Bates Mansion. She looks a little afraid doesn´t she :)

2. Victoria at one of her visits to the UN headquarter in New York. The first photo is from 2000, during the time she lived in New York.

3. The second one was taken in the fall of 1997, also at UN.

4. Victoria in Jordan, I think this is at Petra?

I love the one from the Bates Mansion. That's exactly how I felt after I saw the movie "Psycho" and visited the Bates Mansion and Hotel at Universal Studios Hollywood!

In 1992 the royal couple travelled to Egypt with a group of Swedes who were celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Traveller´s Club. The royal couple were able to relax and enjoy themselves like any other tourists.

Hi everybody, I´ve found a picture, not really of travelling all over the world, but to Germany :) and there to Prinz Leopald from Bavaria, the godfather of Carl Philip.

And it´s about the hobby of the two men in the swedish royal family, better known as Bernadotte
