I think it's truly Marianne Bernadotte

:previous:
Kirstine von Blixen-Finecke I think was wearing a beige dress. In the ceremony she was sitting right, two-three chairs behind Princess Christina :flowers:
If you look at the picture of Marianne Bernadotte she is wearing a dress with decorations, while the lady behind princess Christina seems to be without decorations. The hairdo is also different, more similar to Kristine von Blixen-Finecke's in this photo: http://tinyurl.com/d6zyxf8 while Marianne had her hair behind the tiara. A beige dress can look golden in a photo taken at night. And why should Marianne Bernadotte accompany the royal family home, as she lives in Stockholm herself, and she was a guest at the dinner not as a member of the (extended) SRF, but because of her philanthropic pursuits and interest in medicine. There was a short interview with Marianne Bernadotte at the Nobel festivities in Swedish tv, which meant that she had not been one of the guests that were invited to meet with the SRF and the laureates after the dinner.

Too bad Chris couldn't make it.

Victoria is much improved over yesterday's outfit and tiara combo. Madeleine looks fabulous!:ROFLMAO:

I might be in the minority, but I liked Victoria's ensemble yesterday. I loved the bold colour of her dress (she really stood out in the crowd), its sparkliness, and the fact she wore jewels we haven't seen her in before.

The only things I didn't care for were the severity of her hair in front (I would have liked something softer but I appreciate her willingness to experiment with those braids) and the smallness of the tiara in contrast to the size of the necklace.

From what I can see of today's appearance, I again love the bold colour and clean lines of her dress. Can't see enough of her hair and jewelry to comment.

Agree! Love both girls today. Victoria looks so much better without the dark eye makeup and a different hairstyle and Madeleine looks again amazing.

Oh no, not this tiara again. Still don't like it. The dress is very nice though.
Will there be any close up pictures?

We just have to wait. But on this second day's event aren't so many photos available normally. Hoping to see close ups of Victoria and the queen.
I like this new tiara very much. Victoria looks very good in this simple red dress, she looked good yesterday too.

I think Victoria looked beautiful yesterday and the dress was more beautiful close up.
However, today she looks stunning! I thought the Queen was the most beautiful yesterday but today she looks a bit dressed like the Evil queen.

I think that the woman behind Marcus Storch is Kirstine von Blixen-Finecke.

The woman behind princess Christina at that photo could be queen's lady-in-waiting, Christina von Schwerin. Here Christina with the queen in March

Victoria looks very beautiful in red! Although I actually liked her looks on both days.
Madeleine looked very nice, too. It would have been nice if Chris had joined her.

Which tiara is Victoria wearaing? It looks like Princess Christina is again wearing the six-button tiara.

Of course it was right to seat Princess Lilian in the front row. But the husband of the Crown Princess is protocol wise more higher then she was so it should be clear that he is also seated in the front row. What would be the Problem if Prince Carl Philip was to seat alone in the back.
As for next year i don't think that chris if he should be attend seat on stage. Perhaps it would be the best to have only the King, Queen, Crown Princess and Prince Daniel on stage and seat Princess Madeleine and Chris and Prince Carl Philip next to Princess Christina in the front row.

I have a question. I was reading about the story of Princess Christina and learned that after her marriage to husband (a commoner) she lost her title HRH and only kept the courtesy title of Princess. Would this apply to Princess Madeleine as well, after her marriage to Chris?:ermm:

In Christina's day women did not have succession rights in Sweden. 2 of her other sisters also lost their HRH status when they married commoners. After the king married a commoner in 76 it wouldn't really make sense to retain the old standards with other family members as we saw with Victoria and Daniel. If the court follows the same practice they announced when Maddy was engaged to Jonas she will retain her royal status and her husband will be consort duke to her ducal title but not an HRH himself.

I too liked Victorias outfit and jewels the first evening, but not eye make up.

Thank you Lady Finn for the info as to who escorted whom on the second night. But do you know who the King escorted the first night?

Guess I'm among the minority who loved Victoria's look last night. I thought she looked incredable and it was great to see her in green and a nice bright green at that too. Also really liked the Four Button for the very first time thanks to that row of diamonds. It really made a great difference to the look of it and I loved the emeralds. First time I've ever seen them in fact.

She also looked stunning tonight, but then red is always one of her very best colours. Looks like the new tiara got another outing tonight. Still on the fence about it.

Nice to see Maddie wearing the Amethyst tiara and I really liked the way she wore it. Her dress OTOH was not my favourite. Tonight though...Wowza!! That dress is fantastic on her. My only quibble is I wish the frame bottom of the Modern Frame had been better hidden in her hair. Oh well...I did love the way she had her hair done. :)

Poor Silvia...Being sick is never fun, but being sick in front of the entire World has to be even worse. I'll bet that's why HM was wearing the shawl tonight. Hope she's feeling much better very soon.

Sigh...One of my favourite Royal events of the year once again did not disappoint. Fantastic gowns, awesome jewels and one scruffy but adorable Prince. Can't ask for more than that!! :D

Victoria's Tiara looks more sparkly than the other time she used it!

Because for the wedding the Princess wore it with a big diamond Rivière.
Her hairdo is also much better with this tiara.

I doubt you are in the minority. Great post and I agree wholeheartedly with you.
