Stålseth is indeed a former Bishop, (is one allowed to be called bishop when one is retired I wonder) He was the one who married Haakon and Mette-Marit and christened Maud Angelica and Ingrid Alexandra. He used to be in the Norwegian Nobel comite. I will say he has been out and about a rainy day before, is on the liberal side and would surly not faint if Madeleine was to choose her RED dress. I would rather sit next to him than the winner of the physics prize When he first starts to speak you only need put in some yes and nos on the right places and then you have it going, a very nice man.

I hope Victoria has brushed up on her physics, sitting many hours between TWO physics winners would scare me a little, what do you talk to them about...

ha ha ha. Yes, physics is rather hard to understand for sure. At least with a former man of the cloth, you can discuss a lot of things that are more easily understandable. I´m sure he's been warned ahead of time about Madeleine.

I suppose you can still call him a Bishop. In English, you call ex-senators "Senator" or ex-prime ministers "Prime minister" and so on especially if that was the highest office they reached or the last office they were in. I assume the same thing applies to people of the cloth.

"I hope Victoria has brushed up on her physics, sitting many hours between TWO physics winners would scare me a little, what do you talk to them about..."

Yes, let´s hope she did. That would intimidate me too.

"Yes, our lovely Martha - the domestic goddess à la supérieure. But I highly doubt even the goddess could cope with serving 1 350 guests in 3 minutes in the Blue Hall which is a huge venue..."

Yes, perhaps but maybe she did pretty well last winter when she had a lot of people around her who were hungry...

I bet you know, when it starts Jossan What do you do regularly on Nobel day? Do you watch it on TV? Alone? Do you cook the Nobel dinner from last year (as some older women are said to do)?

Couldn´t we last year read a blogg of a wife of a winner in Physics?? She seemed very funny and the way she talked about her family, let me assume, that they take it easy, have humour and care for each other.
So I would say Physicists have also a life after going home Personally I´ve made the experience, that younger profs and doctors in Physics (and generally in scientific fields) are very much and very deep into their subjects. They are so boring, that it´s best to take a big coffee with you to the lecture. As they get older, they seem to educate themselves also in other fields and are open for other ideas. The right age shouldn´t be the problem at the NPA

Expressen reports, that it can happen, that Madeleine blows all away with her dress tonight. They though seem to have no clue, what she will wear

Victoria lookes amazing in a new dress that looks like white with the baden tiara, Silvia wears an old blue dress with the cameo tiara.

I have to agree. She looks more adult this year. Very nice and that tiara is quite nice too. The Baden tiara. I recognize it but I couldn't name it. Silvia's gown looks like a throw back. Very large. I mean with lots of fabric. Madeleine's is a recycled one. I can't think of where I've seen it right now. Maybe at a wedding.

Not glamourous enough for you? I'll have to agree with you in that. They look good but it does lack that glamour. Except for Victoria's tiara. That thing just shines!

haha, no
The dresses are nice, but not "strong" enough to the Nobel festivities. The are beautiful and would have been great for a statevisit or a official dinner, but Nobel - no

We need more colour for the princesses please. Nice hairstyle on Victoria though!

Yes and that tiara is nice on her too. Even I, in my admiration for the much-maligned 4 Button tiara, can see that that is one very nice tiara.
