Yesterday Countess Bettina gave birth to her and her husband's first child!
The baby, a son, was born at 7:55 AM in Konstanz, the closest city to Mainau.
The son will be named Emil Gustaf, and I take it Gustaf is after the boy's maternal grandfather, Count Lennart (named Gustaf Lennart, but used Lennart) who passed away last December. The baby is 51 cm tall and weighs 3 830 grams.

Those are great to see, thanks Jess for posting these pictures! I just wish we would see more of Countess Sonja, Countess Bettina and her child.

Wow, how great to see them finally! It's been a while now, but what a great time to see them together again - the tourists who are yet to see Mainau this year, or are going back, can be sure to have a magnificent experience ahead of them. It's such a beautiful island.

IIRC, Grand Duke Dimitri (of Rasputin fame) and his sister Maria Pavlovna the younger are interned there as well.

Schloss Mainau is a major tourist attraction and many events are held on the island throughout the year. Here is the website.
