Johan T Lindwall writes in Expressen, that the king and queen arrived yesterday from St. Maxime to the Kalmar airport and from there to Solliden. Victoria, Daniel, Estelle, Madeleine and Chris waited them at the Palace. Both the royal couple and the crown princess couple hold Öland as their base during the summer. Chris will meet some key persons of the court. Ternert tells that they will be able to tell in August about Chris' participation of the official duties, they are looking at events on Madeleine's program. There will be events when the two of them are representing the Royal House together.
Lindwall writes that Victoria's birthday is the first big event for Chris, and of course the king's 40th Jubilee on the throne, Nobel Prize, and the queen's 70th birthday. Chris will be seen more during his introduction period, which lasts about two years, after that he can fade away a little. Lindwall also reminds that Chris got into the Royal Family in a much shorter time than Daniel.

Already before the wedding the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce in New York told at their website, that Madeleine and Chris are attending an Award Gala dinner in October, Madeleine is the patron of the Chamber.

Victoria and Madeleine were shopping on Saturday, Johan T Lindwall in Expressen:
After training this morning Victoria and Madeleine switched on for shopping. Since Victoria lived in the U.S. in the late 90s, she has several favorite stores there. Two standing at the very top of the list are the department stores Bloomingdales and Macy's.
Escorted by bodyguards from SÄPO Victoria and Madeleine went first to Bloomingdales. There, they disappeared quickly in the giant department store and they were with rapid steps towards the children's department. Victoria would buy clothes for a little soon two year old princess at home in Haga and Madeleine would like to also find something nice to her niece. As Aunt Madeleine takes a big responsibility for little Estelle.
After Blooomingdales they went to Macy's and Bergdorf Goodman department store, then up at Central Park. Obviously, it was then this afternoon visit to one of the world's largest toy stores FAO Schwarz on Fifth Avenue. The sisters were in the store for over an hour and who they traded to the package is probably no bigger secret: Estelle, of course.

Victoria has appealed to Madeleine that she would give birth in Sweden. Madeleine has said earlier that she would like to have a family in Sweden, but now she considers to give birth in the States. This has made the royal family worried, and Victoria has now discussed about this with Madeleine and asked her to come to Sweden to have her baby. Victoria knows, that if Madeleine gives birth in the States and not in Sweden, she would be criticized quite much.
According to Expressen it doesn't matter where the baby is born. The main thing is that the child is raised mainly in Sweden. That is why it is possible that Madeleine gives birth in New York and spends the first year of her child there.

I hope Her Majesty is ok! I was so excited to see what she was going to wear and to see the family all dressed up! I don't believe they have another event like this (evening wear and the whole family- except M) until the Nobel Dinner. Maybe I am impatient but I really don't want to wait that long! :D haha
 
Queen Silvia only attend the Dinner in Stadshus on Friday by IVA-years celebration!

It's pity no pics of her? It would nice a pic of the whole (except Madeleine) family.

IVA has updated their gallery, a lot of new photos, also of the queen. You can get them bigger by clicking with the right mouse and "view original"
