The king and Victoria attended this morning at the WWF's annual meeting at the Ulriksdal Palace.
After the meeting they are attending at the 20th anniversary of The Royal National City Park, at the courtyard of the Ulriksdal Palace.

I am pretty sure someone is about to begin spending their summer at Solliden. The security dogs have arrived which normally means someone from the family is in residence. In this case I am pretty sure it is the King and Queen.
 
The court updated the calendar today. This year's Sverigemiddag (Sweden Dinner) is on 4th September, the king, queen, crown princess Victoria and prince Daniel are listed to attend so far.

The king and crown princess Victoria visit Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency in the afternoon on 1st September.
- The Royal Family's commitment to follow the systematic efforts to prevent and manage accidents and crises means a lot to many. In emergencies and crises the Head of State has also an important function for gathering the country and showing empathy and support for both the victims and the families of rescue personnel and volunteers, says Director General Helena Lindberg.
They make a tour of the premises and get a deeper insight of the current issues affecting development in the Civil Contingencies. The king and the crown princess have for many years demonstrated a lot of interest to issues of preparedness to crisis by visiting big exercises and also by actively informing themselves about developments in the area of ​​emergency management.
There is a photo opportunity upon arrival to MSB, and the media can ask some questions of the King and Crown Princess after the visit.

As Victoria was so close to princess Lilian, it is sad that she can't be there, because Victoria is with the king at a visit to Kalmar county and at the inauguration of the Oskarshamn heat and power station.

It was to be expected than in case Victoria can't attend an engagment CP& Sofia will replace them... But it is a pity that Victoria can't be there, it would have made the visit very moving...

Yes sad that CPV cannot attend but I think for Prince CP and Princess Sofia it will also be a very special event. They will eventually live in Princess Lillian's former home. It was touching that they chose Princess Lillian's silverware for their wedding banquet.
Is there usually a closing event at the end of such exhibitions? Hopefully CPV will be available then although her schedule is usually very full.

No, there is not closing events for exhibitions. Where did you hear that they chose princess Lilian's tableware to the wedding? There is nothing about that at the court website. The royal expert said at the dinner broadcast that the king had decided that Sofia will used then and will from now on use the silver cutlery which was earlier used by princess Lilian. Every member of the royal family have their own silver cutlery, used earlier by some other royal. The king decides what cutlery the new member of the family gets. The cutleries are very old.

Lady Finn, I watched the 10 hr. Video of the wedding. I am English speaking and probably put 2 an 2 together and got 5. I will find the part where I concluded that it was Princess Lillian's silverware and let you know so you can help clarify what they were actually saying. ( not to mention that I am also an incurable romantic and was totally caught up in the whole magic of the wedding day)

As for the "special event", well I think CP Victoria would relate to that much better, but I guess it applies the same for Carl Philip...

I agree. I know that Victoria is busy with work elsewhere, but it would have been a perfect occasion for Madeleine to show up. As you said, Lillian was very important to all of the siblings.
 
The king and Victoria left Oskarshamn and during the bus journey to Läckeby and More Biogas AB Eon's regional manager Håkan Gunnarsson spoke about the development of different types of energy in the county and about the growth opportunities for environment
At the More Biogas AB the King and Victoria were received by CEO Kjell Axelsson and Per-Göran Sigfridsson, co-owners and farmers. They had a tour of the facility and were told more about the company's origins, ownership of the farmers, impacts on climate and environment and opportunities for development of green industry.

The purpose of the visit was to update the King and Crown Princess to the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency's efforts to prevent and manage accidents and crises.
