someone needs to give a new dress to Madeleine she uses the same thing all the time... lordddddd =/

I´m agreeing. I wonder, what happened to the dress, she couldn´t wear to the Nobel prize award in 2004, because of her sickness. Does she want to use it for this years NPA???

Why we can see so few pictures from the state visit. All the agency I search don't have pictures? I haven't find pictures from first day afternoon walk at Gamla stan, boat trip also from yesterday (only one pic from royalcourt) Gripsholm, Lunch and Gala at Grand Hotel. I am very disappointed.
That is exactly what I was thinking. Why are there only such a few pictures from the Malaysian State Visit? I was thinking about the Norwegian visit a few weeks ago. Then we got to see so many pictures. Think about Victoria welcoming the Royal guests. Lots of pics from different angles. And now there are almost no pictures. I can't believe that there is not even one pic from yesterday.
Can someone explain this to me, please?

Victorial looks very beautiful as always for galas

Im glad Silvia decided to loosen her extremely firm grip on the jewellery box and lend her daughter some new bling, but did she really have to choose the most ugly tiara, this one is even worse than the 4 button tiara (which I already hate) however it works on Princess Lilian because of her senior hairdo.

I see the royals has chosen to do the same as at the Jordanian visit to cover themselves more than usual for the gala, Infact I think both Madeleine and Victoria is wearing the same dress as at the jordanian visit.

The last time we saw some new dresses for the swedish royals were Victorias dress for nobel (edit: and australia), since that there has been repeat after repeat. Is Carl Gustaf cutting down the royal clothes budget I wonder, saving for a wedding perhaps;)

I´m not surprised at all.
A state visit among neighbours will always cause more attention.
Besides in the main Royal watching countries (France, Spain, Germany) pictures of two close and known Royal families are easier to sell than pics of state visits with more or less unknown guests.

At least Scanpix seem to have pics from the return dinner (so they are maybe next week in the mags). Victoria wore the orange dress/suit she has worn for the spanish wedding.

Thank you very much, Lena, for the explanation. It is very much appreciated.

Lena, thanks for your explanation. But the agencies haven't some(one or two) pictures for selection to sell his customers from each event?

Seems like the Queen of Malaysia has not been awarded the highest order of Sweden but Queen Silvia did recieve the highest order of Malaysia. Princess Lilian didnt receive a Malaysian order as well.

I quite like the tiara from behind like in the picture posted by Larzen. but it's awful from the front

Princess Dato Seri Sharifah Fazira.

Disappointing...there doesn't seem to be a lot of media coverage(pictures) for 3-day visit!

Here are some pictures from the visit to Mariefred and Gripsholm Castle yesterday, Thursday 15 September. From Eskilstuna Kuriren.

GrandDuchess, many thanks for posting the lovely and only pictures from visit Gripsholm and Mariefred. It's wonderful, that you find pictures by Eskilstuna Kuriren. No agencies got pictures from this event.

Sigh.... I can understand why the massive Braganca tiara might have become too heavy for The Queen to wear, considering her back problems - but WHY did she have to wear exactly the SAME dress & the SAME jewels as during the only other incoming state visit in 2005 earlier this year, from the Republic of Lithuania?!
Excuse me, but on this occasion, the Swedish Royal Couple did receive the reigning monarchs from Malaysia, and shouldn't there have been just a BIT more consideration regarding this fact, and a bit more glitter? The only newsworthy thing here is that Princess Madeleine wore that (ugly) 6-Button-Tiara for the first time...
All in all: Disappointing.
BTW: I couldn't agree with you more, Larzen! It's absolutely ridiculous that the Swedish Royal budget shouldn't allow for let's say at least half a dozen new evening dresses for Their Queen each year.
If Queen Silvia continues at this rate, I see her becoming the target of all those jokes about Queen Sonja of Norway as being the "Empress-Of-The-Bag-Ladies" that have been gone on forever and deservedly, as Queen Sonja seems to recycle her dresses for decades.
The wives of the German/Spanish/British/American etc. etc. Presidents seem to have a bigger closet, by comparison...
Phew. Are there any pics from the return dinner yet? Maybe any of thje Swedish Royal Ladies squeezed themselves into a new outfit on this occasion? Maybe this might put me in a better mood - so thanks in advance to anyone who might post some photos from the return dinner here!!

Thanks for posting the pictures GrandDuchess. Is the little girl their granddaughter???? whom the King is hold the hand.

Yes, she is. At least according to Scanpix.

All in all, this must be the most low-key state visit by a reigning monarch to another reigning monarch in recent times, and I'm really quite disappointed...
What ever happened to the return dinner during this current Malaysian state visit? Are there no photographs at all from that occasion...? (sigh - - -)
Thank you so much GrandDuchess for finding further pics from this state visit, but as the first gala/welcome dinner turned out to be a little disappointing in terms of glamour IMHO, I just can't wait to see at least some pics from the return gala or dinner... and I would be so grateful to anybody posting some photos. Thanks a lot in advance.

I think that Madeleine looked great in that tiara. Also, I think that part of the reason that the visit may have been more low-key is that the monarchs of Malayasia are not hereditary, but rather rotate every few years (five, I believe)...so maybe they aren't quite at the same "level" as the Swedish monarchs.

She is HH Princess Tengku Sharifah Fazira, the daughter of King Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin.

That's the 6 button tiara, Princess Lillian uses it some times. Victoria uses the 4-button tiara. If I remeber correctly, there was once a 10-button tiara? Or something like that. It was split into two different tiaras. Maybe...
Thank You. I like the 6 button tiara more than the 4 button one.

Here are pictures from this State Visit that has been published on the Royal Court's website.

Larzen, thanks for posting the pictures from Gala second day at state visit from Malaysia. Finally we see pictures from these events!
Victoria looks wonderful. But the blouse wear Queen Silvia looks not elegant. The jacket which she wear at 7th December 2004 by "250years concert Stockholm castle" in red/gold looks very elegant and go with the outfit of the crown princess.
