Default King Carl-Gustav's Birthday; 2008
King Carl Gustaf celebrates his 62th birthday today:
King Carl Gustaf, Queen Silvia, Prince Carl Philip, Crown princess Victoria and Princess Madeleine at the balcony of the Royal palace in Stockholm

Stor dramatik då kungen firades på borggården - Svensk Damtidning
Princess Lilian joined the royal family at the balcony. She didn´t have a hat and her white hair glew at the sun. It was very warm, and maybe because of that the princess felt herself weak, she almost fainted and queen Silvia took her to the room behind the balcony to rest. A doctor examined her and the Director of the Information and Press Department, Nina Eldh, said that it wasn´t anything serious, the princess just had had a little bit too much sun.

It is lovely to see Princess Lilian again. Crown Princess Victoria's hair looked nice today. Happy Birthday King Carl Gustaf!

Great pictures!!! Was all of this on the occasion of the King's birthday? The kids dressed up in costumes are so sweet!! Victoria seemed to be a bit serious to me!

well it might have been because of the heat. My hunch says Princess Lillian has low blood pressure as many elderly people do. The heat lowered her already low blood pressure and so she felt weak until she sat. I'll bet she is fine and as long as she takes it somewhat easy she will stay that way for a few more years.

Princess Lilian may or may not have low blood pressure. Let's not speculate about her health especially since a statement was made saying that it was nothing serious.

Wow wow photo on Princess Lilian with royal family!!! She is pretty aunt and elegant dress!! Princess Lilian is love royal family and Queen Silvia. Queen Silvia and Princess Lilian is much near ladies.

Does anyone know if they did anything else besides the usually official celebration? Does his siblings celebrate his birthday or make a special visit for the occasion?
